The ongoing “TEXT in visvim” editorial series by SENSE magazine makes a welcome return this month, highlighting pieces from the recently launched “Dissertation on a man with no country” collection. The Native American influence on lead designer Hiroki Nakamura is fully evident in many of the pieces but has been cleverly softened by a blend of modern and classic Japanese styling. By mixing in some of his own personal items, such as jewelry and robes, this Nakamura-styled photoshoot shows that the pieces he designs are not just items in a collection but are garments that he wants to wear and be part of his wardrobe. This is perhaps one of the things that fans of visvim see and is why they keep coming back for more. Items from the visvim 2012 fall/winter “Dissertation on a man with no country” collection are available now at all F.I.L. stores and other select stockists worldwide.
