December 19, 2011Musicby Jonathan Sawyer12566 Views

After working with Kanye West on his most recent solo album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, well-respected artist and Wu-Tang member RZA sat down with the Red Bull Music Academy to shed some insight into Kanye’s day-to-day process while recording. From being there first hand, as the Grammy Award-winner rigorously worked with his team in a variety of facets, watch and listen as the renowned emcee/producer offers high praise regarding one of the most talented and hardest working artists in music.

I hate Kayne but RZA saying that Kayne is super dedicated like that sheds new light on him. Still hate Kayne’s music but I respect him a little more now.

Shit like this makes you realize you aren’t working hard enough

Obviously you can’t reach Kanye’s level of success without hard work. You can dislike him all you want but it’s undeniable that he is a hard worker.

Yep…just saying…not all talent deserves praise, and the end doesn’t always justify the means.

Shut up fuck, RZA is like the 5th person ive heard say shit like this about Kanye, and either way its not even hard to beleive that it’s true. Does a good musician have to have a bad work ethic to be good? and if they do would they want the praise and care enough about it to actually pay people to talk positively about them and their work ethic? Just let someone say some positive shit about someone, kanye doesnt need it but apparently he deserves it.

I forget who, but someone was just saying how they were in the studio with Kayne, and they kept dozing off and fell a sleep for a while. During this they saw Kayne’s eyes close for like a couple minutes, then he jumped back up and was banging on beats while the other dude passed out til the morning.

Pretty amazing. Key notes here: planing (talking about past, present, and future)… exercise… karma …. hustle

You forget where Kanye is from maybe you should look it up. You also forget what kinda person RZA is but of course you can’t see that. They struggled more then you can imagine to get where they are. Do your research. Then speak

you people are haters! kanye is not sad to pay someone to say that. Come on, grow up!
