PUMA presents: OF THE SAME EARTH with Kehinde Wiley Video
by Eugene Kan, January 29, 2010
Artist Kehinde Wiley and PUMA jointly commemorated the Africa Cup of Nations 2010 with a series of artwork and products culminating with the PUMA Africa Unity Kit. In a video capturing the background of the project, the American artist took a trip to Africa to gather inspiration and converse with some of Africa’s biggest footballing superstars, Samuel Eto’o, Emmanuel Eboué and John Mensah. The journey includes a compelling look into the process of creating behind traditional African patterns, as well as strong aspects of Africa’s cultural landscape, such as music. The Africa Cup of Nations 2010 will conclude with a championship match featuring Ghana and Egypt on January 31st, 2010.

Not for nothing but has Puma ever produced anything out of Africa? I think there factories are in SeAsia… Thus, what has Puma ever done except bilk plight to consumers while they do nothing but get rich off of Drogba and his African counterparts…
