Sake1 is right Black scale’mega’ is SHIT. don’t even call yourself a clothing designer. you did some ok things in the past but your wack ass pseudo existential ”quotes’ in your ads are pathetic…you remind me of what is so wrong with bbc. You and pharrell WILL be stopped!!!!!!

Man, I don’t know where to begin. BBC/IC has been on a long slide south. This hunting thing gotta end. The satellite pattern is hideous. Space beach is so-so. See people only complain about price when the shit is whack, but when its hot, they will sell their grandma for it. But if BBC/IC really wants to move forward and design clothing other than street graphics, then get real designers like myself. Thats what happens when you don’t like to collaborate with others to get fresh ideas.
Comments like “it kinda reminds me of those weird Microsoft Word Cliparts” is really bad.
Brands are still making it in this economy, so don’t blame shoppers. You just gotta step up with hot shit.

I don’t see why reusing a picture twice on the same crew was necessary. Like others have said, it would nice if picked up for under $10 at a 2nd hand shop, but not for anything more.

  7. Posted by:the bomb on November 25, 2009 at 2:39 pm

personally like the design if i picked up in a vintage shop, but bottom line is, its way to overpriced and i’m surprised they actually think its worth that, that said, they know there are people that will buy to say, its BBC.

Lol sake1 is contridicting himself, to me this looks like something new and never done before . To some people its a piece of shit but to others it looks good … thats life.

you really are pathetic Mega (‘ClothingDesigner’ LOL) and your not fooling anyone.
good designers will take risks regardless of what people accept. Bad designers make garbage like this and hope people will buy it. thats not taking a risk. And btw YOU are the ONLY “designer” that cares so much about hypebeasts cuz you get 90% negative responses other than comments made by your fake alias and friends u send to back u up. that should tell you something. you will never convince us to buy your bullshit no matter how hard you try. peace

what do you expect from a guy that dresses like this:

  11. Posted by:caramelcorn on November 25, 2009 at 4:02 am

I would wear this, but I would only buy this if it was a thrift store find. People are hating a bit too much. My eternal problem with BBC/IC is that there is no validation for most of their pricing; It’s a real turn off and would make me feel ridiculous for buying it even though I can afford it.

    JCPenny…

  13. Posted by:tallmoney on November 25, 2009 at 2:29 am

‘Clothing designer’ you’re full of shit. This is a risk????? This is called lets see what sticks! Package it under a trendy label and we’ll call ourselves innovative trailblazers. Don’t you know, and Pharrell should listen up to this too. That exclusivity shit doesn’t work over here like it does in one up Japan. I’m not saying we don’t want one off pieces and collectables over here in America cause we do. But when a label charges ahunitfitty for ass, we turn our backs by throwin’ that shit off our backs. This shit right here, this shit right here nigga, this shit right here…never again will I rock bbc. This is down right disrespectful. The taste one acquires IN order to move forward comes from innovation. It can be in a trend or from Gauthier it don’t matter. But to produce something that is quite obviously universally trashed says something about the design…I’m with SLICK on this…anyone who rocks this deserves to get a bust head.

Looks like something i would receive on christmas from my grandma lmao

  16. Posted by:thomas on November 24, 2009 at 10:54 pm

I got it, wore it once, and burned it, like I do with all my clothes. No closet, just a fire pit. Boss.

  17. Posted by:JOHN on November 24, 2009 at 10:39 pm

honestly i don’t get why people buy bbc. in my opinion every thing they have done looks like they didn’t put any effort. excluding a shirt here and there. Regardless, i feel like even local home made companies try harder than they are and are more legit. thing is if i owned bbc i would think every single person who buys my product is a complete idiot for giving me their money in return for a half assed that was designed by what looks like a complete amateur.i don’t know that’s how i feel

  20. Posted by:Andre on November 24, 2009 at 7:24 pm

Well why does this cost that much? Nobody isn’t gonna know it’s BBC and u paid a shit load for it. It doesn’t look like it’s great quality. The design is horrible I know pharrel can’t be makin money off this brand Ive never seen anyone rockin this shit for reels. Sorry p just stick with what nigo doin over at tha bape camp he’s killin right now

  21. Posted by:just a person on November 24, 2009 at 6:42 pm

what IS good criteria for a shirt? i really wanna know. is it some topless model that most non streetwear head niggas wouldn’t know, throwing up the star trak sign while covering her tits? i dont fuckin know. cuz yall bitch about alot on here. its funny. anyways i digressed. id wear this shirt. but not for no 152. streetwear designers go to thrift/vintage stores….look at something truly stylish people would wear or are wearing, like this shit here, then duplicate it. thats all it is. hypebeast should do a feature on me.

  22. Posted by:Slicksix on November 24, 2009 at 6:36 pm

If I see ANYONE wearing this I will laugh at them, tell them how stupid they are for wearing it then proceed to kick their ass ’cause they need an ass whoopin’ if they were this garbage. Garbage. Straight garbage. In fact Pharrell I know you read feed back. MARLY is right YOU AND BBC MUST BE STOPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Posted by:jaws on November 24, 2009 at 5:52 pm

    this is pretty funny

  24. Posted by:brandon on November 24, 2009 at 5:03 pm

I have thought for a while now that BBC had its time and was dead, and this well and truely proves my point, if i was Pharrell i would be ashamed to have this as part of the seasons collection !!

“BBC is gonna get pretty popular in retirement homes”

  26. Posted by:Hart on November 24, 2009 at 4:50 pm

BBC is simply on a downward spiral. Anybody who pays $152 for this clipart garbage is pathetic. They’re just paying only for the brand name, not for the actual design. Bullshit.

  27. Posted by:zm on November 24, 2009 at 4:35 pm

my aunt has been wearing this same sweater for 8 years now…

Thank you BBC for making me laugh !

  29. Posted by:ClothingDesigner on November 24, 2009 at 4:08 pm

    Hey,

I am a clothing designer – and a rather successful one I may add. And its very
funny how your “base” constantly complains about moving forward but never
acquires the taste to do so.

I understand BBC’s vision and attempt to bridge the gap between their cartoon
motif’s and this nue classicism. But the funny thing is, you can’t because the base
or core audience continues to PRETEND they are beyond treniness, but in reality they truly and quite extremely in fact ARE!

I see this paradox in my sales everyday. And what makes it even worse, are the sideliners who can be done this way and that way. Just ease up a bit guys. If your a fan of someones work, don’t be so critical if one may step a couple feet outa bounds- it makes the designer super cautious and afraid to take further risk – and YES all of the designers do read the blogs – RELIGIOUSLY.

    peace.
