Introduced earlier in the year, Jordan has begun distributing their new L’Style silhouette to select Jordan accounts. The lifestyle sneaker takes on a more sophisticated approach, which has become a recurring factor in a wealth of Jordan releases throughout the past few years. The kicks combine a premium leather upper with slight perforated details and dual-strap velcro system, replacing traditional laces. Available now via Extra Butter.

haha, these are nice, but i think i read some comment about how people wont like air jordans unless theyre retro colorways or something
tahts true, people who fell in love with the original jordans will never be satisfied with this or anything jordan releases, it’ll definitely sell though, because they dont really look all that bad

“L’Style” is pretty weak branding, please tell me it’s not supposed to look or sound French … as if people aren’t plenty familiar with real French brands by now? Weird.

    - nwdrift is right about perception & context… But we’re all pretty aware of that already right? Hell, maybe not…
    - Anyway, I liken these to Puma McQeens or Y3′s much more than any of the lux brands…
    - L’Style is a lame freaking name…
    - & Gemo Wong is not with BJ anymore. He’s back at Nike proper…

Anon is right about the direction of the jordan l style brand.

But i believe the overall design of this shoe is right where the brand probably wants to be. Branding aside, you can easily see this sneaker in a high end store along with the balenciagas, dior hommes, maison martin margiela, etc.

Here is my theory on branding and design with this shoe as an example…

    IMO, Design point of view:

    Jordan L’style one > Nike air yeezy’s

    Consumer’s point of view:

    Nike air yeezy’s > Jordan L’style one

reason being, consumers are against anything jordan brand that isn’t a retro jordan shoe and/or colorway. If the jordan L’style ones were labeled yeezys people would be all over them because of the hype. If the yeezy’s were branded as Jordan L’style’s people would hate on them, badly.

Newsflash herbies… It’s a “Jordan Brand lifestyle shoe” NOT a “Jordan”.
They are trying to develop the brand & get away from all of the things you expect. To be quite honest, they need a freakin’ late pass but what the hell…
I’m just saying, everyone’s all “it’s not Jordan”, “yes it is, look at the toebox”, etc… Jordan brand is trying to move into a different sphere with silhouettes like this.
“Lifestyle” people… You know, like the lux stuff everyone wants to wear, & the corny ass Dreative Rec stuff… Lifestyle from Jordan “brand”.
    It’s not a f%&ckin’ Jordan for hoops!
All that said, & in that context, it sucks!

I dont understand why some of you dont understand the design elements behind this shoe.

@LouisV: “not remotely jordan” Hello?? Jordan 1 outsole, jordan III air bubble on midsole, jordan 1 toe/vamp construction, Jordan VI top heel counter area with perforated holes, jodan II snakeskin look leather.

If anything, this is the best way the shoe was designed as a jordan brand lifestyle shoe. Not as corny and straight forward as the spizike and six rings shoes.

    @Mattybizzle91 no comment. just stupid.

@mattybizzle: really? this looks very little like the TKs first of all. just cause it has straps? the sole, toebox, air bubble, heel are all distinctly nike. and how long do you think it takes to produce a shoe? guarantee this was in the works long before anyone at nike saw the TK supras. the next supra that comes out you will cry yeezy look-alike. just relax and realize this is how fashion (and everything else for that matter) evolves. sheesh. why dont you take your incredibly original imagination (cause no one has ever noticed that new kicks sometimes resemble previously released kicks before) and start your own label with a ton of stuff no one has ever “imagined”?

@ everyone else: sorry for that, and as far as the kicks go. i like em, hope they come with some different colorways. my only complaint is the instep strap seems a little oversized, totally covering the laces

Wow, the people down at Air Jordan really have no imagination of their own. Can anyone else smell the Supra on this? Imagine if the TK Society had a dirty, backward child with the Air Force One…
