Reebok unveils a new rendition of their popular Pump Omni Lite silhouette for the 2010 Spring/Summer season. Following the look of their recent Jean Michel-Basquiat sneakers, this latest preview keeps in tune with much of the same designs qualities, although executed much more cleanly. The kicks boasts a white/black colorway adorned with the classic a Basquiat look and mood. Look for these to drop sometime early next year.

  3. [...] As soon as you saw Jean-Michel Basquiat’s take on the Reebok Freestyle and Ex-O-Fit High, you knew any future teamwork would be just as outrageous.  Pictured above is his design for the Reebok Pump Omni Lite.  These are all white with black pen-like scrawlings strewn about.  The tongue’s Pump features Basquiat’s crown emblem, while the heels feature another crown (on the left) and a sentence we can’t quite make out (on the right).  It all looks good atop a gum rubber outsole, so we’ll be sure to let you know when these drop.  via HB [...]

This is kind of lame….if the he actually wore these(which I doubt) it might come off with a little more meaning and a bit more nostalgic, therefore a more legit concept…but this comes off generally weak…especially for people whom are fans of his work.
The Freestyles are at least actually kind of dope…

banking on a deceased artist’s name?this is a preposterous idea.

IT’S FUNNY HOW STREETWEAR HAS FORCEFEAD CULTURE ON NON-SUSPECTING SUBURBAN WHITE KIDS WITH A LARGER THAN NORMAL ALLOWANCE….IT’S ACTUALLY A BEAUTIFULL METHOD AS LONG AS YOU CAN DIGEST THIS CULTURE. I READ AN INTRESTING ARTICLE ON YE’, THEY ASKED HIM “WHAT ARE YOU NUMBER ONE IN” SUPRISINGLY HE SAID LEARNING.
