Kicks/HI infuse their well-known island flair into this upcoming release with Reebok on a Reverse Jam collection. The Reverse Jam features a micro-perforated suede upper marked by symbolic embossings on the heel that spell on “HONO” + “LULU” and “YKWWS” respectively on the green and black versions. The green vs. black is a contrast of home (green) and away (black) as well as inspirations from sports and Hawaiin lifestyles. A “Natives are Restless” t-shirt will also release and included in the purchase of each pair of shoes in addition to being sold separtely. The shoes will release on Saturday, June 13th at both KICKS/HI Ward and Makaloa spots as well as online at KicksHawaii.com. Look for the shoes to also hit KICKS/HI Guam and Saint Alfreds in Chicago.

We used a micro-perf suede for the upper-accented by a stamped heel: “HONO” + “LULU” (on the green pair) and “YKWWS” (on the black pair). The colorways represent a home (green) and away (black)-as much of KICKS/HI inspiration comes from sports, island lifestyle (specifically growing up in Hawaii). The predominant color accent on both shoes is our signature shop orange, which we use extensively from our Orange Label cut and sew and bag program as well as through all of our collaborative efforts.

To accent the KICKS/HI x Reverse Jam shoes, we created a new “Natives are Restless” tee in three colorways. We will be including the KICKS/HI “Natives are Restless” tee as a gift with purchase of a KICKS/HI Reverse Jam at KICKS/HI Ward and Makaloa locations-as well as in our online shop (http://www.kickshawaii.com/new/store/main.html) on Saturday, June 13 2009. The t-shirt will also be available for sale separately.

KICKS/HI+Guam is a big stepping stone for the local shoeheads! and plus while all these people are lining up just to get their hands on exclusive shit, people here on GUAM just have to drop by the shop and cop it like a general release!!
    power to the locals!!!
one love to all our haters!!!!

Calm down and dont get your panties in a bunch douche mcfarlen. I did not say anything about Guam messing with street wear or anything to that extent. I guess you dont know how it feels to have pride in your home town. If you did, you would identify with my comment and not hate. Its ok that you hate on people because it is people like you that make sites like this entertaining. By the way thanks for the back up Shaun, and the lesson on how the little rock known as Guam has been making noise SINCE EVER SINCE. Thanks to everyone who has supporting Guam and its growth. shout outs to KICKS/HI WARD, MAKALOA, AND GUAM. HAFA ADAI ALL DAY! YKWWS!

douche mcfarlen, it’s obvious why you named yourself douche, and there’s nothing wrong with repping where you’re from. if you did your research Guam’s streetwear has been on point SINCE EVER SINCE, ask the millions of Japanese tourist who flock there to pick up sh*t you can’t get anywhere else. streetwear isn’t about what boutiques you got in your town, it’s about spreading the love for fashion and art, and your own personal style. so keep talkin’ all you want, because people from Guam rep hard and you wouldn’t know anything about that. I got your coconuts right here douche, Malaga mu mu? SUCKKKKKKAAAAAAAA!
