visvim 2009 ss logan apparel 1 Visvim 2009 Spring/Summer Releases

Infused with an embossed lattice pattern, Visvim introduces some new colorways in their Logan model. Having already seen the vibrant royal blue joints, these new colorways add a couple more vibrant pieces to the collection but also some muted color tones. Obviously taking some inspiration from the classic SK8 Hi model, this new rendition features more of a lux look with textured uppers and excellent tonal offerings. Retail for the sneakers is set at ¥ 34,650 (Approx. $377 USD). Along with the Logan collection come new items from the Japanese label’s Spring/Summer range. Included in the drop are a handful of outerwear pieces, hoodies, cut-and-sew t-shirts, button-down long sleeves, chinos and cargo pants. Definitely a nice variety of casual pieces from Visvim. All of the items are now available via Nos.

i thought there was a typo when i first saw the title.

hmmmmmmmm, i could get vans for $50 or but the same exact thing (except unoriginal) from visvim for $400.

that’s an easy call unless you’re the kind of person who only likes over-priced junk so people can see you payed too much for something.

  • josh

might as well call them Vans…

[...] Visvim is still doing Sk8-Hi takeoffs, and rich kids and Kanye are still buying them. Check out the spring/summer drops. [Hypebeast] [...]

Visvim never intends to rip off any other brand. They keep the design similar and re-engineer the shoes with comfort in mind. Think about it how ling have vans been using the same vulc sole on there line ups. If you ever wear a pair of Visvim’s you’ll never want to take them off. Now I’m going to defend the price, each model is made in limited numbers made of premium materials. Most of the materials are made of elk leather and suedes. The quality of these shoes cant get any better. Stop hating because you can’t afford them. If you can and don’t like them, try them on!

  • Quickstriker

Ha! Still Vans no matter how you look at it. Sk8 highs with premium comfortable material under a different name is still Vans.

  • allo

naw man vans do it better

  • Quicksriker

“naw man vans do it better”

    True.

  • dubhead

Ditto that, “READ THIS RETARDS”. I dislike Vans (and therefore Vans inspired shoes) in general due to the cheap, uninspired designs and materials used. As for Visvim, though, I’m pretty certain you guys complaining about the price aren’t likely to pick up a pair of Ferragamo drivers, brogues, derbys, or oxfords either ($350-450 on sale).

Both brands (as well as Bruno Magli) all have exemplified design, comfort, materials, and quality and are well worth the price of admission. Vans on the other hand, feel about as comfortable as they cost, and are about as long lasting as Ikea furniture. Both of which, are essentially disposable.

  • Quicksriker

You guys must work for Vansvim don’t ya?. And well driving shoes are a little Euro for me bro.Them guidos at the club be rockin those with mad cologne on and tight pants.
Not saying that the quality of Visvim are wack. But it’s definitely a rip off of a classic shoe. I’d rather support Vans, the originator of this shoe rather than Visvim a Japanese company who basically released a high end bootleg of a Sk8 High. Try to defend it all you like and talk about how cheap Vans are made-doesn’t matter. The design of that Visvim shoe is a RIP OFF! Plain and simple.

  • jermaine

plain, simple, 100% cotton but only for the rich because the brand itself is rich

  • PKJai23

similar style, totally different material. u cant compare the two

@ so true and the other haters. These shoes are not rip offs if in fact they were they would be targeting the same crowd with an attempt to attract customers in the same price range. Visvim never copied vans and slapped a high costing price tag on it. It is a completely different shoe with a completely different following, and is on a way higher level of fashion. So many hypebeast today want to wear vans all of the sudden. If they weren’t popular you would call it cheap garbage. That is what vans are! Trash! The shoes are made for skate. These shoes are made for comfort, and use much higher quality design and pays much more attention to detail, whereas vans target skater sludge. A glance at the shoe may show similarities but comparing the two is like comparing a cats and dogs. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with wear vans but they are so generic and indifferent the majority of the people who wear vans buy them for under 100 with the intent to use them as beaters. Does visvim want to attract the same people who paid 4-5x less on a pair of vans? The answer is no. The design may be similar but not by any means ripping off vans. They are introducing a higher level of quality to a shoe that’s generic and outdated. They adopt the classic design, and points their shoe in a completely different direction. So is visvim stealing customers away from vans? Is visvim ruining the image or imitating in a cheap way to make a buck? NOOOOOOOOOO so stfu THAT IS NOT RIPPING OFF. THEY ARE ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL!!!

Went to a vintage clothing shop the other day; found about 20 pairs of Visvims someone had dropped off. They hadn’t even been worn most of em’. I found a pair of visvim jeans brand fucking new, with tags, and card on the back pocket. For £35 (Yeh, brand new). All the shoes were £40 or less, needless to say I copped a few bits and bobs.

Visvim: A higher Level of sophisticated Bootlegs.

Like Sheed wearin airforce ones theres those who prefer to stick with an originator like vans than switch to the new generation drawing off sucessfull original designs. . Its not to say they dont put out a good product but they do bite off an already sucessfull design. Yes they add their own improvements but i dont see them paying royalties to the designers who thought of the concept first. Its two different schools of thought. Vans were designed to skate in. Visvim is purely fashion.

Not everyone can appreciate what vans did for the skate and sneaker community.Vans keeps it simple and dope and cheap. So peeps and kids from the street who you might have forgotten, started all this shit, can keep affording to look dope.

I dont own a pair of visvims not because i cant afford to.. but i wouldnt support a brand that blatently bites with out payin whats owed. i have a loyalty to vans because its a brand thats always been good to me. Visvim puts out a dope product but it does little in gaining my respect.

hey do you guys know any online stores for visvim or stores in the uk

  • HeyDong

Definatly we can’t neglect success of Vans. Like slip-on , such a simple design , it can suit in diff. style , old skool, vintage, classic ,street style…it can fit in any occasion either skatin’ or for causal.
But as READ THIS RETARDS say that they definatly targeting in diff. crowd .
Visvim hav nt copy exactly from vans, there r lots of detail in their shoe, much more comfort n they r really longlastin’.
Visvim use high quality materials engineer their products, like gortex, cordura, elk leather…
i an’t sayin’ vans usin’ cheap materials, but obviously the quality of materials that used by visvim is much more premium than Vans . Thus the price is much more higher . Visvim’s shoes is nt for skatin’ ,dancin’…it is Fashion n they r targetin’ at the group which fond of Classic design and lookin’ for higher quality and longer lastin’ stuff. And dude dun forget they r high Fashion . Juz da same style Chino or skinny pants, price r much diff. between Dior Homme n American Apparel.
U won’t sell ya product for 50 bugs which cost u for 45 bugs dude. I an’t denied dat Visvim’s products much expensive than Van’s or other brands which also hav similar style . But when u compare 2 stuff, they must hav all things nearly the same . 1st , deisign . 2nd, quality . 3rd, durable.4th, comfort.Last but nt least , Visvim’s product do nt produce as much as Vans , they are limited , the cost of producing would be higher too.
Both brand r respected brand , they just hav diff targetted group.
