As the numerically named Air Jordans draws to a close in 2008 with the XX3, starting in 2009, the Air Jordan naming scheme follows a different route referencing the release year. A preview into the Air Jordan 2009 can be seen here. The shoe features all the elements of design you would come to associate with the Air Jordan with numerous details and touches, effectively making it a bootleggers nightmare. Little performance information is known however a release date is set for Saturday, February 14th, 2009.

In addition…, I did notice that the only people complaining about this shoe are the Ebay re-selling Republican Party Voting Team Jordan wearing BANDWAGONEERS and not the TRUE Michael AIR Jordan COLLECTORS!!!

This shoe is a Technological Marvel. About time JB goes outside of the box instead of just rereleasing the same shoes I have doubles and triples in already! Now if Nike can solve the oxidation problem that turns my shoes yellow while sitting inside the box then, I’ll be good! About time NIKE, keep it coming. Oh yeah, before I forget, someone please find Lebron another TM Logo, the 23 and Lion image sucks, it’s so 1988!

Thanks a lot Nike for ruining this man’s legacy. I hope you’re proud of yourselves. Bring back Tinker Hatfield, pay the man whatever he wants (we all know you got it) and leave him alone let him make magic again.

looks like a boot a glam metal band would have worn in the 80’s- Go Posion!

You gotta look at kicks like music with an open mind. When people innovate people complain, when people re-do something people complain.

Look at design with an open mind. And respect when people go left. Jordan brand ended the jordans numbers the right way.

IS THAT A JUMPMAN OR WHAT . LOOKS LIKE THE MIX OF THE 21 AND 23

  13. Posted by:dent on January 1, 2009 at 4:47 pm

these are fresh and half of the people talking shit will be rocking these when they come out. the only thing that concerns me is they don’t look “considered” like the 23’s. i liked that concept and was hoping JB would stick with it

looks like it was designed by aliens or somethin lol

  15. Posted by:mike on December 31, 2008 at 4:01 pm

i likes it. after years of off key releases, and all the bullshit colorways theyve done with the retros (especially the “ones”).

The “fish gill” effect on the sides looks absolute shit.
Lovely sole but very much an also ran.

Nailed it with the “AND1 collab” comment….

eh, blame it on the youth.. they look up to their manufactured idols such as “Kanye” and such. High school kids talking like they know everything about the “scene”

i think i like it. idk why i do though

  24. Posted by:bh on December 30, 2008 at 2:11 pm

i feel that clearly jordans has no care about those of us that enjoy getting fresh. this shoes looks as if its sole purpose is just to hoop. jordan’s design team has definatly taken a nose dive. this shoe looks like it came from the starburry template

  25. Posted by:nicolasfromparissoexcusemyenglish on December 30, 2008 at 1:55 pm

    thoses shoes are kitsch!

  26. Posted by:AHHHRT on December 30, 2008 at 1:47 pm

When did JB make a collab with AND1? Shoes look cheesy. Though they do have a couple things I find nice, I doubt they’d be the best shoe choice for basketball though. That sort of “cup” on the back makes it look prone to rolling your ankle.

  27. Posted by:DopeBoyFresh on December 30, 2008 at 1:46 pm

looks like a pair of high heels… hopefully that isn’t real marble on the bottom. that would be a true bootleggers nightmare. as it stands now, its more like a designers nightmare

the jordan line fell off. hyperdunks/lebrons/kobes – thats where you can find some quality and beautifully designed basketball kicks

  28. Posted by:frank on December 30, 2008 at 1:32 pm

It’s interesting, but like so many modern J’s, with the exception of the XX’s, it could be any other player’s shoe.

SO are these meant to be performance shoes? Or was the XXIII the last performance shoe?

  29. Posted by:masdeloce on December 30, 2008 at 1:23 pm

I know I’m going to get blasted for this but…I think they are clean…I would rock the hell out of them, even if they do look like a hybrid….

  30. Posted by:phil on December 30, 2008 at 1:02 pm

Jordan used to mean quality for me but now I just don’t know what to say any more:(

  31. Posted by:RICK JAMES BITCH on December 30, 2008 at 12:55 pm

If my wife gives me these for Valentines day I will smack the shit out of her, those shoes are garbage.
They look like a Shaq starter shoe.

  32. Posted by:LeftyJeenyus on December 30, 2008 at 12:36 pm

i think the more details make it easier for bootleggers. it makes it easier to produce a easier replica at a cheaper price which is a large reason for bootlegging. This shoe will be bought by those that follow Jordan just because it is a Jordan, even if it is ugly imo, or those with disposable income. Only plus on this in my eyes are the removeable zoom-air insole. The extra price in an American recession? Give me a break. Peace

These are alright, but I’m not gonna get these. Jordan Brand should just release these in limited quantities like they did the premier XX3’s and the beasts would be feenin for them.

    hmmm…
