Beautiful Losers x Nike Dunk High

With the highly anticipated Beautiful Losers video and exhibition launching this Friday, August 8th (busy ass day around the world!), we’ve recently seen the addition of a further number of products to mark the event as Nike Sportswear participates among the sponsors of the project. The film itself features some of the low-fi art world’s most critically acclaimed artists such as Shepard Fairey, Barry McGee, Geoff McFetridge and Ed Templeton who represent just a small number of the overall artists features. The film goes in-depth into the common philosophy of these artists as they push creative boundaries under a distinct do-it-yourself aesthetic. In conjunction with the documentaries launch, Nike Sportswear is hosting a series of “Make Something” workshops which cover a wide range of subject matter from painting, photography, skateboard graphic design, toy design, film-making, tattoo art, footwear design and zine-making. These events will be run by Beautiful Losers artists ensuring a surreal experience for all the attendees. The subsequent creations will be displayed in an exhibition. Furthermore, Nike’s role in the event features a collection of Beautiful Loser Dunks which all feature movie shots utilizing Nike’s all new high-resolution digital printing technique. Half shoe, half art piece, the final result is something that fully captures the essence of the Beautiful Losers movement. Two sets of shoes will go on sale to benefit the Children’s Aid Society following their showcasing at the Nike exhibitions. Check the “Make Something” schedule for New York after the jump including additional imagery and the movie’s premiere dates across the world at BeautifulLosers.com.

These shoes are not fire. Good idea with the auction. But don’t hope this shoes reach the sales rack because they found no people which buy them.
