Diesel and Tom of Finland Return With Third Pride Collaboration
Coinciding with the erotic art foundation’s 40th anniversary, the multi-faceted collab includes a 24-piece capsule collection and a series of global events.
Toasting to Pride Month, Glenn Martens’ Diesel has reunited with the Tom of Finland Foundation to create an expressive capsule collection for the third year in a row. Coinciding with the Foundation’s 40th anniversary, the collaboration is a multi-pronged project that consists of a ready-to-wear capsule and a series of global events.
Platforming LGBTQ+ talent, the capsule collection is covered in artworks by Stuart Sandford, Suzanne Shifflett, Tank, the Hun, Valentine, Henning von Berg and Tom of Finland. Their creations appear all over 24 pieces—including trucker jackets, button-down shirts, graphic T-shirts, denim pants and jock straps—as prints and patchworks. Notably, each silhouette features a canvas tape trim with a quotes from the featured artist.
Earlier this month, the duo’s Pride celebrations officially commenced at the annual Tom of Finland Art and Culture Festival at Berlin’s Halle am Berghain, which was followed by programming on New York’s Fire Island. The festivities are slated to continue through Helsinki Pride, a Diesel exhibition opening in Tokyo, and a party at Tom’s house in Los Angeles later this year.
The third annual Diesel x Tom of Finland pride collection is now available to shop online and in Diesel stores. Prices range from $50 USD to $550 USD. Explore the lineup in the gallery above.
