The OF Monster print is the latest t-shirt out of OriginalFake. The character evokes memories of a terrible Canadian children’s show, The Hilarious House of Frightenstein and I can’t help but feel the character would fit in perfectly. We have already seen a slew of awesome products created for the 2nd anniversary of Original Fake including the Original Fake x Visvim backpack, the Original Fake x Stussy sunglasses, the Original Fake x Supreme Kate Moss tee and many others. Now, here’s a first look from the Original Fake website of the highly anticipated 2nd anniversary Companion figure. We’re not quite sure how large this one will be but from the looks of it, it seems to be around the same size as the 4ft Companion figure that was released last year. No word on when this figure will be released but look for it to hit the Original Fake store soon.
In the last year, we’ve seen Original Fake team up with the quintessential denim brand Levi’s on two previous occasions including OF’s 1st anniversary. Another pair of denim is dropping to coincide with Original Fake’s latest anniversary, this time featuring a much more bold and forward design as the Chomper pattern is seen across the back pockets. The suggested retail price is set at ¥ 33,600 JPY (approximately $321 USD).
As the Original Fake 2nd Annviersary garnered much attention and anticipation, more developments have surfaced regarding some of OF’s unforeseen collaborations. Exiting outside an already stellar cast of collaborative partners such as Levi’s, Visvim and Stussy, Original Fake has more up their sleeve with fashion label Under Cover and women’s rock-inspired brand Hysteric Glamour jumping on board.

While the original pairing of Stussy x Original Fake for OF’s 2nd anniversary revolved predominately around sunglasses, a further look into the collection includes a few more items. Utilizing OF’s familiar imagery, some attire perfect for the beach plays to the strengths of Stussy’s roots as a surf brand including board shorts and a towel. The board shorts are slated for a May 3rd release while the sunglasses and towel are yet to be determined.
A comprehensive look into Original Fake’s 2nd anniversary collection has been released. No stranger to big time collaborations, the items include a t-shirt with Kate Moss and Supreme, a Ballistic V-Bag with Visvim, denim with Levi’s and frames with Stussy. Each product is not without Original Fake’s strong branding including Chomper and Bendy designs.

For Original Fake’s upcoming anniversary, the brand has enlisted a series of marquee collaborators to commemorate the brands two year existence. The products include a Kate Moss x Supreme x Original Fake tee, Stussy x Original Fake sunglasses, Original Fake x Levi’s denim and a new 120 cm Kaws Companion. A release date is currently unknown.

OriginalFake is a brand that truly devotes itself to every little detail, as shown here by their Winter exhibition invite. Beinghunted shows us his invitation, which is a printed one dollar bill with design hand-drawn by Kaws. The design portrays Kaws Companion falling into the hole of the portrait while trying hard to grab on. It is speculated that the dollar bill design might be a hint of what’s to come for OriginalFake’s 08 F/W collection. You can definitely see how strong the brand is even just through their invitation.

Original Fake by the artists KAWS has released two new t-shirts from the Spring ‘08 collection which are based on two of his more popular figures, the Companion and the Chum. According to Firmament, “the Kaws´ Companion figure was first shown in New York at the New Gallery in Soho and at his first exhibition in Tokyo – Kawsone – at Parco.” while the Chum remains one of KAWS’ most sought after toy. So for those who missed out on the figures, you can now get the tees at Firmament.
The Original Fake website has been updated with a new graphic of the KAWS Companion in the missionary position with the Grim Weeper. This artwork by the artist KAWS most likely has the hidden meaning “Fuck Death”. This interesting graphic will be used on an upcoming t-shirt from KAWS’ brand, Original Fake. Look for this tee to drop at Original Fake in Japan or at Original Fake dealers.
Original Fake’s upcoming t-shirt features a spoof magazine ad of the iconic Companion being carted off in a kidnapping. Ignorance has got the best of us as we really don’t know exactly which event this references throughout some of Honduras’ times of political unrest. Look for the Honduras t-shirt to release later this month.
