Fall of 2008 will be the debut of the new line for women that is referred to internally at Burton as, Burton Streetwear. This new line was designed by in-house ladies designer, Linda Lovemade. Linda is no stranger to building from the ground up as she designed and launched the first women’s Obey line back in 2003 and then moved on to play an instrumental role in launching Luxirie by LRG.
The inspiration behind the new women’s line is drawn from Burton’s hi-tech features like hidden pockets and detachable/reversible amenities found in their outerwear, but applying them so that they are entirely functional in addition to being fashionable. The Burton Streetwear line makes use of all types of premium fabrics such as genuine leather, technical nylons, and luxurious cashmere. Those materials are then utilized to create some very fashion forward looking silhouettes that give the female consumer a solid line to turn to this fall.
For all Bapeheads, the relaunch of Bape.com is definitely very good news. Their previous website was quite cumbersome to use as you had to download their very own Bape application in order to see the content. This made it quite difficult for Bapeheads to check what’s new on a daily basis. Content wise, everything is pretty much the same as before. You can still check out the latest news and products from the brand as well as take a look at some of Bape’s other ventures like the Bape Cafe, Bape Cuts, Bape Sounds and more.
You can check out the site now at www.bape.com.
