Hiroshi Fujiwara, the godfather of streetwear, has just recently visited the Nike Campus in Beaverton, Oregon, for the Nike Beijing 08 Innovation Summit. The event showcased upcoming releases including the much anticipated Hyperdunks. But of course he wouldn’t go without meeting with Nike President and CEO, Mark Parker, discussing unrevealed shoes. It seems that HF was also able to do an interview with Nike’s Global Creative Director, Richard Clarke. Check out all the pictures and the interview at Honeyee.

Since its introduction to the sneaker world in 2001, Clae has been at the forefront of their rightfully dubbed “athleisure” category, redefining the industry the way fusion cuisine did for the restaurant business earlier this century. Having revamped their collection in 2007, Clae seems to have finally baited and hooked the sneaker masses. With Reed Space and other retail gems carrying its line a bright future is in store for this California-based trendsetter. This year’s summer collection is simple in design with strong color schemes that should appeal to an older, more refined crowd. Check back in July with oki-ni to get yours. clae-summer-2008
