Here is Van’s third installment of their Iron Maiden collabo scheduled for their Holiday collection. Iron Maiden’s art work is epic and this collabo could be compared to Nike’s work with Pushead. For their holiday season they present to you the SK8-Hi version and a Slip On. The artwork is from Iron Maiden’s Powerslave album and will be dropping for in October ‘08.

The eco-friendly Madera Slip-On from Vans originally debuted last year in a range of simple solid toned colors. The revisited model seen here includes bolder patterns while incorporating environmentally features such as the use of organic hemp, jute cotton and charcoal sock liners. Christian Hosoi was one of the popular skaters during the 1980’s along with other pro’s including Tony Hawk. In 2006, he was signed with Vans and received his pro model shoe, the SK8-HI. This year, the Hosoi models which include a SK8-HI and a Era will be launching once again. Like previous shoes, the Hosoi sneaker features the raising sun graphic that was first used on his debut skate deck with Sims Skateboards. Available now at ripe and Flauge.
New from Vans is this “Paisley Bandanna” series which include three Classic Slip On’s. The Paisley pattern has Persian origins and symbolizes the Indian bodhi tree (the mango tree). Three colorways including blue, red and black are all available in the Paisley pattern. Available at Flauge for 6,090 Yen.
Here’s a follow-up to yesterday’s Vans Vault 2008 Fall/Winter collection. Two artist collaborations are on deck including punk musician/painter Niagra and hot rod equipment manufacturer Moon Eyes. While the 2008 Spring/Summer Vans Vault collection is still trickling in parts into stores, catalog scans have surfaced regarding the upcoming 2008 Fall/Winter collection from Vans’ more exclusive Vault collection. The preview includes mini collections focusing on materials such as ostrich and croc, while all new styles are also set to debut including Full-Cab, stash pocket SK8-HIs and hybrid releases among others. Straight from the Vans Vault is an all new Jungle embroidery series of Chukka 49s and Authentic LXs. Thick floral embroidery dominate the upper of both the Chukka and Authentic as well as the use of mis-matched laces. We’ve been waiting for quite a while for this sneaker. Here is the new Vans SK8-HI LX which is supposedly inspired by the British fashion designer, Paul Smith. This sneaker which has a predominately brown colorway has the playful Paul Smith inspired stripe pattern on the inner lining as well as the tag. Available now at Flauge for 12,600 Yen.
Vans’ original legacy was built on their liberal shoe making philosophy, as people often brought their own fabrics in to create interesting sneakers one off sneakers exclusive patterns. Vans’ popularity can only be compounded by their vast selection of footwear spanning both simple colored offerings to various prints and patterns. In an opening reception today, Peter Huynh will present a series of works over various mediums of media. His style of over sized print-n-snipe street posters will capture Elex the bear against camo backgrounds, signifying rebel cohorts. The event sponsored by Vans, Status and UXA also includes special one-off US Military spec X-65 jackets, prints and Vans Chukkas on display.

Neck Face and skateboarding are like bread and butter. Ok, maybe that was a bad analogy but the young graf artist has hung out with some of Vans top skaters so it was natural for Vans to ask Neck Face to design some of their shoes. Here is a look at some upcoming Neck Face x Vans sample pictures we were able to get our hands on. Not much information on these yet other than that they will be released this year. With the warmer months on the horizon, Vans Syndicate’s upcoming 007 Series release is set to release two upcoming packs in the very near future. The two themes for this collection include the Pendelton pack and the Grime pack. Based on their popular flannel, the Pendelton pack includes a three pack of Old Skools, Half Cabs and SK8 Hi’s. The Grime pack includes Slip Ons and Half Cabs. Look for these at your local Syndicate account holder.
