The aptly named Vans Half Crepe features a crepe sole with some patterned uppers. The classic patterns include herringbone and plaid which translate well into a more refined look. Available at Flauge.
While virtually all models from Vans’ classic line of footwear have performed admirably, it makes sense for the upcoming release of the SK-8 Mid. The SK-8 Hi little brother carries a certain Chukka-esque feeling to it with the addition of the SK-8 Hi stripe and ventilation holes. Check for these at your local Vans dealer.

The legendary skater from the 80’s, Steve Caballero aka. “Cab” is the reason behind Vans’ Half Cab shoe. His signature shoe still sells like hotcakes as both skaters and fashion conscious folks buy the shoe to either skate in or just to look good. Here are some new Half Cabs for Spring 2008. Included in the bunch is a bright orange Half Cab, a burgundy red Half Cab and a white Half Cab with a black midsole. Available now at Flauge.
It looks like the San Francisco based skate shop, HUF, is currently working with footwear makers, Vans, for a new collaboration. Unfortunately there isn’t that much information other than the fact that they have chosen the Vans Chukka model for the collaboration sneaker and that there will also be a matching New Era 59Fifty Fitted Cap to go along side the shoes. Guess we’ll have just to wait and see!

Built on a solid foundation of minimalistic aesthetics, France’s APC are no strangers to sneaker partner ups, previously going to work with Nike on two tonal colored Court Traditions. For the upcoming 2008 Spring collection, APC has looked to Vans for an all white leather SK-8 High. Look for these to hit select APC accounts.

Practicing various forms of expression as a self-taught artist, Taka Hayashi has associated with Vans on previous occasions. He has recently been sought out for another collection of footwear and t-shirts with Vans. His designs can be seen on some of Vans’ signature skate models such as the No Skool 2 Mid, Owens Hi and Rowley “Shambles” Mid. Not slated to release until Fall of 2008.

Skater Dustin Dollin out of Australia and his sponsor Vans has just released Dustin’s 2nd generation signature, the No Skool II. The upper features the use of Vans’ checkerboard pattern in varying sizes in three different colors. The No Skool II is available in both a low and a mid. The Chukka has become the staple point shoe for Vans as the shoe continues to grow in popularity over the years. This time Vans Vault has released the “Zig Zag Chukka Boot,” featuring a knitted zig zag side pattern. The shoe comes in two color ways; Black/White/Grey and Brown/Blue/White, and is currently available at Flauge for 10,500 yen.
Vans and Schwipe will be hosting the event “Death Becomes You” which is an exhibition of Neckface’s artwork.
