With the use of polka dots manifesting itself in numerous applications over the last few seasons, Vans Vault have taken it upon themselves to utilize the pattern on their latest pack of shoes titled Melissa. The black uppers of the SK8-HI and Slip-On are both done up in white polka dots. Although not pictured here, the collection also boasts the Prison Issue #23 and the Era. Look for these at select Vans Vault dealers.
Always thinking ahead since the beginning of the Vault campaign, Vans is constantly striving for a great quality product remaining quite consistent even throughout their odd combinations of material’s and colorway’s. Included in the Grey Stone pack will be a Sk8-LX, Era LX, and Slip-on LX, all employing a blue cotton like upper to these multifaceted models. Expect the pack to hit Vans Vault dealers in late May.
Vans pays homage to LA Punk group the Germs in the most recent showing of Vans’ upcoming Band Shoe pack. This time around the Vans Old Skool and Slip-On are reproduced in The Germs black/blue color. The large toebox on the Slip-On is put to good use bearing The Germs art work while the Old Skool is a little more subdued with fewer references to a band featuring the likes of Belinda Carlisle and Pat Smear before they moved onto other gigs. Look for these to release fall of 2008.

Supreme has once again teamed up with the folks at Vans! This time, the collaboration includes two Half Cabs in yellow and black, and two Chukkas in red and blue. All four have just solid colors with no patterns, allowing the design of the shoes to really come through. Be sure to keep checking back for release date and availability.

Our original preview of the future Neck Face x Vans collection consisted of three models, revolving mostly around a black/rust color combo. However news has surfaced regarding a further compliment to the collection featuring a joint effort between Neck Face and Brooklyn skate shop KCDC on a Tron blue and black joint. The pictures don’t tell much, however an alleged release date for these is slated for June 1st.

Not a new print from Vans by any means, the checkerboard has undergone a bit of color transformation for Vans’ latest spring/summer collection of SK-8 HIs. The uppers of the sneaker each possess different colors of checkerboard material ranging from blue/black and orange/black on the outstep to red/white and black/white on the instep.

Following up on Number (N)ine’s collaborative efforts with Visvim comes another team-up with Vans embodying the same aesthetics originally seen on the co-branded jacket. The Old Skool model is at the center of this footwear project available in three colors, black, brown and tan. Releasing May 10th at select dealers.

Vans will be releasing a legends pack honoring Bay Area native and Powell Peralta pro Steve Caballero. The pack will consist of three classic models: a SK8 Hi, Era, and what would a pack be without Steve’s signature shoe, the Half Cab. Seeing as Caballero was born in the year of the dragon, Vans will use a graphic from one of his many Powell-Peralta dragon boards for the shoe pack, featuring traditional suede and canvas. Release is set for October 2008.

Pioneering hardcore punk band Bad Brains finds themselves at the center of an upcoming collaboration with Supreme and Vans. Revolving around the bands colors are three Vans SK-8 HIs each interchanging the colors red, green and yellow. No word yet on a release date.

Following up on a ton of Vans collaborations over the last few days is this upcoming collection done with REBEL8 and tattoo artist Mike Giant. The heralded artist features his artwork on a series of t-shirts and footwear designed in conjunction with REBEL8 and Vans such as the Chukka Low, a J-Lay, a No Skool 2 Mid, a Sk8-Hi, and a Slip-On. A tentative release date has been set for November.

A strong contingency of classic rockers have graced various Vans models in recent memory including Iron Maiden and Motorhead. Add KISS to the list of collaborators which can be seen here in a preview on a SK-8 Hi. Lead guitarist Ace Frehley’s mug is pasted on the side in his classic get-up. One would assume a full pack would release with the whole crew of band members, however this is yet to be determined. A release date has been slated for October.

Vans and graffiti artist Neck Face have renewed their bond from last year with another collection of footwear and apparel. The artist who has risen to immense popularity for his dark, vivid and surreal imagery. The collection of footwear includes a Chukka, TNT 4, SK8 Low and No Skool Mid while tees, hoodie and New Era cap. No word yet on a release date.
