Stussy x Neighborhood Boneyards Newspaper Preview

Stussy x Neighborhood Boneyards Newspaper Preview

Only last week, Microsoft’s chief executive Steve Ballmer prophesied the death of print media within the next 10 years as everything goes to an online format. With him having made such a bold statement, we can’t help but feel that despite our current profession in the movement Ballmer feels will take over, the physicality of print media stands little chance of truly dying. Media such as this upcoming newspaper created as part of the much anticipated Stussy x Neighborhood Boneyards collection is something we feel regardless of the times will still hold its weight in certain circumstances. At the end of the day, the tangible aspect and the tactile feel of thumbing through the pages is something irreplaceable and commands respect. Although little is known regarding the background of this newspaper, we expect to see a range of interview with the creative minds behind this memorable collection. Source: Paul Mittleman

Gary Panter x Stussy "Pray for Smurph" T-shirt

For underground/punk cartoonist Gary Panter, the artist has amassed a series of accolades for his revolutionary style of imagery which focused on a distinct punk and DIY aesthetic. Despite his expertise with the pen, he has also dabbled in music-making, which forms the basis for this upcoming t-shirt pack, Pray for Smurph. Based on Panter’s 1980s psychedelic country album for Japanese label Overheat, the t-shirt features the album art and a track-list on the back. Available June 11th. Source: Respectable Things
