Description

Rihanna is a Barbadian musician, actress, fashion designer, and style influencer. Born in 1988, the songstress was first discovered upon meeting record producer Evan Rogers through a mutual friend in 2003. Under his tutelage, Rihanna recorded several demo tapes, which were then sent to a few major record labels. This earned her an audition with Def Jam’s then-president, hip-hop mogul JAY Z. Consequently, the performance earned her a contract deal, which led to the release of her debut album “Music of the Sun” in 2005. She has since become one of the best-selling artists of all time, with over 150 million records sold worldwide, and has earned a slew of accolades, including eight Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, 23 Billboard Music Awards, and two BRIT Awards. Additionally, she also possesses catalogue of songs which rank among the world’s best-selling singles of all time. Rihanna is known for her constantly evolving appearance, adopting many emerging fashions ahead of its curve. The creative has designed several collections for Armani as well as her own women’s spring line with her personal stylist, Adam Selman. Rihanna is also the first black woman to be the face of Dior, having been appointed to the role in March 2015, and has been the creative director and face of PUMA’s womenswear division since being named in December 2014.
