Luca Benini is an Italian fashion entrepreneur and founder of Slam Jam. Born in Voghiera, a small town from Ferrara in Italy, Benini launched Slam Jam in his garage in 1989 from where he would sell products from overseas, quickly becoming a popular destination for the local streetwear scene. Benini has also had stints working for Stussy and Carhartt, whom he attributes much of the brand’s success to. A streetwear clothing company, Slam Jam is a multi-label retailer that has made its mark by selling a number of brands from all over the world. The company also owns several labels and hosts music and art shows. Benini’s Slam Jam has collaborated with many of the biggest sportswear and streetwear names such as Nike, Stussy and Converse on collaboration products, including sneakers, clothing and more.
