Kazuki Kuraishi

Founder, Owner, and Designer of THE FOURNESS

Profile

Description

Kazuki Kuraishi is a Japanese fashion and footwear designer, and is the founder, owner and designer of his clothing line THE FOURNESS. He also owns Heather Grey Wall select shop in Tokyo, Japan. Kuraishi has worked with a slew of brands including adidas Originals, A Bathing Ape, NEIGHBORHOOD, CASH CA and fragment design, and has gained a reputation for effectively applying his own philosophy and skills to strengthen a brand’s aesthetics. After working with so many other brands and releasing numerous clothing and sneaker collaborations, Kuraishi launched his first solo brand THE FOURNESS, a men’s and women’s line that blends Japanese and Western components in its designs. Kuraishi currently serves as designer for the line as well as A-Four, an in-house brand that belongs to The Fourness line, which Kuraishi designs with Lucas Price. Kuraishi is a big fan of psychologist Carl Jung’s four fundamental functions of human existence: thinking, feeling, sensation and intuition, and Kuraishi tries to emulate these ideas in his designs. Kuraishi’s approach to fashion is embracing of universality, and combined with his respect for original craftsmanship, his garments aims to connect wearers with their clothing by relating to one of the four psyches they resonate with.
