Teddy Santis is always precise when it comes to what works with his brand Aimé Leon Dore. Also known as ALD, Santis’ label is centered around the classic cultures of New York — ‘90s rap music, the city’s nostalgic fashions, basketball and vintage cars are some of the clothing label’s recurring reference points. 2020 was a showout year for the brand as it started out with an impressive collaboration alongside Porsche. Not only was there a fully restored Porsche 911 "ALD 964" created for the partnership but also a concise capsule of clothing featuring jackets, hoodies, tees, sweats, driving gloves, pins, a bag and even a tool set.
Strengthening his year as a designer, Santis got in with the folks at New Balance for some sneaker releases. One was a colorful set of New Balance 827s and the other, a duo of pastel-hued 1300s. Apparel was also part of the year’s NB collab and consisted of cozy staples such as sweats, joggers, shorts, fleece tops and more.
