The public often points out that Pharrell Williams doesn’t age. The sentiment not only rings true about his looks but also his energetic work ethic — the 47-year-old has his hand in various businesses and 2020 was evidence of his ability to influence other industries. In music, Williams started off the year on a high note with the Neptunes being inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Collaborations with other artists such as Run the Jewels, JAY-Z and more kept the hitmaker busy while also working on a gospel-focused docuseries for Nextflix.
In the territories of fashion and footwear, Williams remained consistent with his work alongside adidas. He dropped numerous iterations of the signature NMD Hu sneaker and also worked on updating kit designs for teams Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid and more alongside the Three Stripes. Chanel even tapped the star for a sunglasses campaign earlier in the year. With so much already going on for the mogul, Pharrell also unveiled a new skincare line called Humanrace and is slated to open the doors to his new hotel venture called “The Goodtime” located on Washington Avenue in Miami’s South Beach.
