In 2018, Riccardo Tisci took the helm of luxury fashion house Burberry, stepping into the role of Chief Creative Officer. The appointment came almost a year after Tisci stepped down from his position as creative director at Givenchy, a title he held since 2005. Under Tisci’s direction, Burberry reported 42% rise in profits for the first half of the financial year. Tisci’s strategy has involved the embracing of streetwear culture and digital platforms, adopting a drops model and social selling for limited products. Tisci also released a Burberry collaboration capsule with British designer Vivienne Westwood. Elsewhere, the designer introduced part two of the Riccardo Tisci x Nike Air Force 1.
