In 2017, Masaaki Homma celebrated the 20th anniversary of his pioneering streetwear label mastermind JAPAN with the launch of mastermind WORLD. With this new entity, the Japanese native adjusted his focus on the globalized market, rather than that of his homeland. Since then, Homma has brought his distinct skull-and-crossbones aesthetic to fans around the globe, and 2018 saw a slew of collabs between his two powerhouse brands, including product partnerships with everyone from Vans, SUICOKE and Danner, to fragment design, KITH and even HYPEFEST.
