if you go to the midnight release, ebgames and gamestop are giving ppl a gift bag of some sort pack http://www.ebgames.com/gs/landing/starcraft2/default.aspx?groupid=829&loc=homeflash1
Jul 23, 2010 @ 13:11
Looks like they just giving away some coupons at midnight. For a decent headset I have a logitech usb headset. Its about $20-$30 its a decent one no problems, very clear. Only con about it is that it uses up a usb port.
Jul 23, 2010 @ 17:22
What specs are you guys working with to run this? I'm in the market for a new laptop and I wouldn't mind being able to game on it as well.

wouldn't reccomend playing this game on a laptop. Non gaming ones are gonna have shitty framerates unless you're willing to spend 1500+.
Jul 27, 2010 @ 01:43
Man the midnight release in my area had to be a line filled with nerds. Ive never seen more black people picking up sc2 in my life.
Jul 27, 2010 @ 01:47
Midnight release at the gamestop near me was empty as shit surprisingly
Jul 27, 2010 @ 08:20
Bout to go pick this up. Any info on specs needed for your computer?
Jul 27, 2010 @ 10:27
I am not even half way through the single player and this shit is amazing. So much attention to detail. I love my collectors edition too.
Jul 27, 2010 @ 11:19
for the ones that went at midnight, what they give you in the pack?
Jul 27, 2010 @ 11:29
They didnt give away much. There were limited posters, a card with a code on it to win a video card and other shit, and some facebook game card. The midnight release wasnt worth it unless you went to one of the Blizzard events.
Jul 27, 2010 @ 12:11

couple hours in, bout to destroy the protoss on Xil and get the siege tanks. first impressions are that there is a lot more to do. Blizz came up with a good strat to let people gradually complete missions and get upgrades on everything. As for the general plot, things move pretty slowly because of the upgrade "system", but i can tell they are slowly building up the backstory and introducing new stuff, so it will probably lead up to a kick ass climax and then the unavoidable cliff hanger. We'll see....
Jul 28, 2010 @ 08:04
i am disappointed blizzard didnt do the one thing that every single person who played the beta wanted, adding chatrooms. they think people who originally played the game earlier this century still talks with the people they played with on IRC (which didnt exist back then) or ICQ. add me: crazyskillz35@aol.com

also got stuck in 2v2 bronze cause I kept getting newb partners who didnt know builds or anything so it ended up being 1v2 each game.
Jul 28, 2010 @ 17:39
Not like you guys give a fuck but here's my thoughts on the game so far.

I like how they made campaign mode interactive. Being able to hire mercenaries as well as upgrade your units in the story sort of gives the game some RPG like elements. The Lost Viking mini game is fun too lol.

Bnet is cool. There are some problems but bnet is trying to fix that. I also agree that they made a mistake not including chatrooms/channels.

I'm really looking forward to the custom maps, especially when they make DOTA using the SC2 engine.
