Feb 19, 2010 @ 17:44
That was one of the best exchanges I've seen on a message board in quite a while. Good show.
Feb 21, 2010 @ 03:32
Just read the first few issues of Batman and Robin. Not bad for DC filth.
Feb 21, 2010 @ 12:48
I just read the entire Y The Last Man in about 2 days. Amazing!
Feb 21, 2010 @ 13:49
^ How much did the ending depress you?
Feb 21, 2010 @ 14:47
it was depressing cuz it sucked so much, lol, na son...but i did like, choke back a little emotion when *SPOILER ALERT* agent 337 or watever her name is (been mad long since i read dat) got her face blown apart, i was like....wahhh.....what the fawkkkkkkkkkkkk, NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol that whole *spoiler alert* clone thing in the fucking end was mad fucking gay too btw, just thought i'd throw that out there.
Feb 21, 2010 @ 19:13
^ How much did the ending depress you?

Yeah... but really, it wouldn't have made sense if it was a happy ending.

I have a whole bunch I can start reading now, but don't know where to start. I'm leaning toward Preacher...
Feb 21, 2010 @ 23:20
^ SCOTT PILGRIM!! isn't preacher getting a film this year?

this is easily vertigos most consistant series hands down, i've yet to pick up an issue where i was like....fuck i just wasted 10 dollars smh

walking dead is amazing

I was reading the trades in England but i cant get it in Japan though so i havent read it for a while smh

might have to hit ebay

Just started on The Walking Dead, on about #5. Reminds me of Y, in the sense that I'm gonna get my heart broken again.

edit: the art really falls off after #6, innit? shiiiiiiiiiit, I miss the old style.
Feb 22, 2010 @ 01:38
they changed artist smh

Eh... I tend to believe "comic book movies" when I see them. I've been waiting on Sin City 2 for close to 5 years now.

Now, that being said, I'll flip out if the pilot to The Walking Dead doesn't get picked up by AMC. I'm actually avoiding reading that series because I don't want to spoil the show. I hate that. Especially since it's never as good as the book, so I'd rather have nothing to compare to.
Feb 22, 2010 @ 18:29
its very rare when the movies or television series are actually better than the source material, the only time i think a movie or show exceeded or at least matched the original print was in "wanted" only because they were basically linked in name alone, and not exactly a comic, but fight club the movie was a million times better than fight club the book
Feb 22, 2010 @ 22:03
Anybody here reading "Criminal"? Ed Brubaker & Sean Phillips title that's been coming out for a while now. Great book, and the back up articles about classic crime fiction/movies are really great. Might be my favorite current book, save for The Walking Dead.

I just read all 69 issues in about 2 days. Shit gets pretty unpredictable, maybe I'm just dumb, but a lot of shit happens that I didn't expect
Feb 23, 2010 @ 19:50
^ it's still ongoing, isn't it? on #21 right now. Lori needs to stfu and die.
Feb 23, 2010 @ 23:20
Opinions on K Vaughn's Ex Machina...GO
Feb 24, 2010 @ 05:14
^ never read it. I know it's political.

in other news, what the fuck is up with the walking dead? soooooooooo much more depressing than y: the last man. this shit is like battlestar galactica.
Feb 24, 2010 @ 06:18
Ex Machina is killer. Good premise, good art and consistently well executed. Consistently a book I read first when it comes out.
Feb 24, 2010 @ 06:22
FUCK, I don't wanna sound like a broken record, but FUCK! The Walking Dead is a soap. I never realised that before, but now I do. It's just endless misery, and I think it kinda kills any story. Compelling, though.
Feb 24, 2010 @ 19:16
The storylines in TWD are pretty brutal, and yet as bad as it gets, Kirkman is still able to shock me, without it ever feeling cheap. Dude is the best. Invincible is killer as well.
Feb 25, 2010 @ 19:33
welll idk i like some but not many
Feb 26, 2010 @ 07:36
I think I'm done with TWD. I got to #69, and that's quite enough neverending bleakness for me. I like comic books to be fun, and this stopped being fun a while ago. And they really messed up, not keeping Tony Moore.

POWERS is better already, at the first issue.
