where can I cop APC english?
Nov 02, 2007 @ 07:40
OK, I know I will receive ridicule, but hopefully there will be a hint of help:
This is the pair of jeans i wear now.

I want something SIMILAR fitting, but a little less baggy. Would NS's be TOO slim or should I try and go for it because I want some black NS's BAD. I know they will stretch out a little after being worn, but I heard black NS's dont stretch out as much and as soon. Opinions? Thanks guys.
Nov 02, 2007 @ 09:02
NSs would be fine. they really aren't too skinny.
Nov 03, 2007 @ 01:00
Good i should get sz 30 for new standards then right??
Uhm just wondering how do you people get all those fades kicking in? bleaching ?
Nov 03, 2007 @ 17:21
^ Size down 2. Just wear them, the fades will come in naturally with time.

bad timing
I have a pair of NS that I wanted to take to the ocean after 6 months. I wore them, they're looking good, and its november in Boston. I'm starting to consider something less extreme than certain pneumonia. What could I do to the same effect that will let me start wearing my APCs again before June?
Nov 06, 2007 @ 14:59
i only sized down 1 for my NS and i kinda regret it... it stretched 2 sizes like everyone said, but i think a hot soak should fix it at least temporarily, just need to wear em more

My APC NS @ 124 days
Hot soak twice.
APC's stretch 2 sizes up after a couple of wears.
Wore these without a pre-soak, because Im afraid I might lose the starch.
Preparing a wash in another 4 months.

They just look white on the creases once you really wear that shit for about 6 months or so.

why would you ever soak sanforized jeans before wearing? they're already shrunk.

bd
Nov 12, 2007 @ 12:20
the reason they are starched like that is to enhance fading, not hinder it.
Nov 16, 2007 @ 12:42
alright, im finally coming through with my new cure photos. these are roughly about 13 months old, one wash in ocean off the coast of savannah with no other treatment...

Nov 16, 2007 @ 20:17
those look nice ^
Nov 18, 2007 @ 17:02
I have a question regarding the pair of new standards i bought back in mid-june 2007...I've been wearing them frequently since then and I altered the inseam to 33.5" about a month or so ago. '

My question is if that was a mistake? Will they become too short when i wash/soak them? Any suggestions to prevent/limit the george costanza effect?
Nov 18, 2007 @ 17:48
If you had them altered you should be able to have them taken back out beforehand if you're that concerned. It depends how tall you are and if you want some stacking or not. Soak them in cold or lukewarm water for less shrinkage.

I miss how my cures fit when I first bought them. I'm thinking about re-starching them and seeing where that takes me.

I have some rescues that are too long, should I soak them in hot water before I get them hemmed?

Thanks any advice is appreciated.
Nov 19, 2007 @ 17:55
aren't apcs sanforized so they won't even shrink that much when soaked...
Nov 19, 2007 @ 18:09
yuup.

and nice shit camd3m
i love the chalky yellowness to them
Nov 19, 2007 @ 22:27
If I get a pair of APC NS or Rescue and i dont size down...it should be fine right? Unless Im mistaken the stretching should be very minimal

I don't have much experience with APCs =/

i got a pair of NS in my size (i wanted something in between an ns and rescue) and it hasnt stretched that much compared to my pair of new cures which i did size down in... if anything, they shrank a size but im very active in the jeans so that could be the cause of that

Big Guy, Little Help
Hey whats up. Im alittle new to the whole A.P.C. denim thing.
My boss told me I really should buy some because he wears them everyday.

But Im alittle skeptical because after reading this forum Im not your average APC buyer. Im about 5'11 and I usually wear a 38 (designer brands) or 36 in regular jeans. So I guess you can say Im chubby.
I dont like skin tight jeans or baggy jeans, just a nice everyday denim that fitted just right.

My question is are A.P.C. jeans the right jeans for me????

P.S. I like the NS because they seem to have a bit of a tapered opening to fit well over my shoes but I dont want them to kill my thighs!

Just buy them in 36 waist and they'll be fine, won't be too tight.

2 sizes down to be safe, so try a 36 or 34 if you want a good fitted look, it WILL stretch out. my 30 stretched to a 34, then back down after a re-soak.
