Icecream originated as a subsidiary of artist Pharell Williams and A Bathing Ape creator NIGO’s Billionaire Boys Club brand in 2005. Both clothing lines were founded in Japan and New York City. Featuring graphics of dollar signs, diamonds, and beepers, the brand went on to popularize all-over print designs that would be seen in streetwear henceforth. Under the motto “wealth is of the heart and mind, not the pocket,” Icecream alongside BBC has influenced streetwear by upholding individualism through fashion for well-over a decade.

Pharrell Williams and Shay Haley of high profile music group NERD recently held an intimate autograph session for fans at Hong Kong’s flagship BBC | Ice Cream store. The event was marked by the release of an exclusive t-shirt which was then made available for autographs. A special guest appearance also featured Juno of Hong Kong lifestyle brand SiLLY THING. Tomorrow night, NERD will take the stage alongside Kanye West and the Terriyaki Boys for this years World Wide Bape Heads Show.
In a recent Complex, a BBC | Ice Cream rep forecasted the future of the brand relative to the brands foundation on Pharell’s popularity. Admitting they have begun a transformation from its original stylings focusing on loud prints, they aim to design with a larger emphasis on denim. Just recently, they’ve followed up this release with a sneaker which embodies similar characteristics. Differences include the revised toebox. BBC/Ice Cream, the brands by the famous fashion duo, Nigo and Pharrell Williams, have released some new items at the BBC/Ice Cream shop in Japan. Included in this release are some new t-shirts, sweaters, hoodies and a wallet. The wallet and a t-shirt are part of the Trump collection (Trump as in playing cards, not Donald Trump). From the new releases for February, the wallet stands out because of both the design and the mini dice that comes along with the wallet.
