Even in this weak state of economy, it seems that the power of streetwear cannot be stopped. HUF, the famed San Francisco streetwear/skate retailer started by Keith Hufnagel, is expanding its empire and will be opening their 5th location in Los Angeles this Saturday, May 31st. Among the special grand opening items are a series of t-shirts created with none other then Stussy and the special Satin SK8-HIs seen recently. Check out the new store if you’re around the area.

On the horizon from HUF is an upcoming collection of classic SK-8 HIs. The uppers appear to be produced with satin with some nice contrasting colors in the mix. Additional touches include embroidered HUF scripture on the tongue and a reworked Vans logo on the heel. No word yet on availability.

The skateshop/boutique, HUF, which was originally from San Francisco will be making its way to LA very soon. With that said, here are the latest releases from the HUF brand which will be releasing this week at the HUF store on Sutter Street in San Francisco.
Among San Francisco’s institutions, HUF is releasing some new pieces as part of their spring/summer collection. Their cut & sew apparel is quickly becoming a trademark touch for the brand as we’ve seen a strong collection thus far in the last few months. Included in the Saturday, May 3rd release are button-ups and a barracuda style jacket.

Despite HUF’s strong allegiance with Nike, skate brand DVS has always been integral part of HUF’s footwear arsenal. New more subtle colorways was created for the Huf 5 Lows and Huf 5 Runners. The 2 sneakers uses a stealthier purple/black/gray colorway with HUF’s signature earthquake pattern; the HUF 5 Lows uses extra durable suede as its primary material and the Huf 5 runners utilizes smooth leather.

Keith Hufnagel has previewed HUF’s upcoming collection for spring/summer. The San Francisco retailer has developed strength and momentum with each passing season, with these latest previews showing no doubt the maturity and direction of arguably one of the industries biggest in-house labels. Stay tuned for a further information including the rumored opening of an upcoming HUF in the Los Angeles area.
Huf SF relaunched their website today. The website has a very different look and feel from the last one, but retains the usual green Huf color. You can scroll through all their products from the home page with ease, and because it is all picture-based, you will find everything you’re looking for without knowing the names of the products. The online store is not yet launched, but it does have a very cool countdown clock that tells you exactly how much time is left.

As part of Reigning Champ’s 2008 spring collection, the high quality purveyors of minimalistic staples has teamed up with San Francisco’s HUF to create two striped sweat Henleys. The colors include black/white stripes and green/white stripes. The Henleys are currently available alongside the spring 2008 Reigning Champ collection over at Haven.
An all new set of New Era 59FIFTY fitted caps are set to drop today at HUF. Three colorful plaid joints will be releasing just in time for Spring. These come as a follow-up to last month’s similar plaid release both sharing that iconic H logo.

In a new upcoming personal project for Alex Valdman of HomeRoom, he has looked to some of his most inspirational peers to recreate and reinterpret some of their previous hits. The first one on deck is a rehash of HUF’s collection of Hufquake hoodies created by Benny Gold as he combines separate hoodies into an all new piece. Other anticipated pieces include Stussy, Nautica, Polo, Marc Jacobs, Dior, Original Sears and Levis work wear (circa 1960’s).

HUF has had quite a following especially when it comes to their fitted caps. The latest from HUF are these New Era Fitted Caps which uses a plaid fabric and features the “H” logo on the front. These will be available today at the HUF Sutter store in San Francisco

It looks like the San Francisco based skate shop, HUF, is currently working with footwear makers, Vans, for a new collaboration. Unfortunately there isn’t that much information other than the fact that they have chosen the Vans Chukka model for the collaboration sneaker and that there will also be a matching New Era 59Fifty Fitted Cap to go along side the shoes. Guess we’ll have just to wait and see!
