'BLEACH' Creator Tite Kubo Designed a New Character for a Limited-Edition Hypebeast Capsule
To mark his cover story for Hypebeast Magazine Issue #38: The Juice Issue, the ‘BLEACH’ creator puts his art on a two-piece capsule that won’t be around for long.
BLEACH creator Tite Kubo is one of our cover stars for Hypebeast Magazine Issue 38: The Juice Issue, and to celebrate, we’re releasing an exclusive two-piece collection with the manga legend.
Over 15 years and 686 chapters, Kubo turned BLEACH into one of the best-selling manga of all time, with more than 130 million copies sold. Its influence on the generation that followed, including Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen, makes it a blueprint for the modern fighting genre.
The Hypebeast x TITE KUBO Graphic T-Shirt comes in black 100% cotton with a semi-oversized fit and ribbed crewneck. Kubo’s original artwork is printed in lavender across the back, with the issue title and his name in English and Japanese printed and embroidered at the chest.
The Hypebeast x TITE KUBO Graphic Ball Cap is a black six-panel style with a curved brim, “TITE KUBO” and 久保帯人 embroidered on the front, and an adjustable buckle strap finished with a Hypebeast label.
Both pieces are made in Korea and produced in limited quantities.
Fashion has always been part of Kubo’s work. He styled BLEACH‘s cast by mixing street style with runway references from Maison Margiela and Dior, sometimes basing a character’s look on a shirt he’d bought for himself. So it’s only right that his Hypebeast cover comes with a capsule collection to match.
The collection drops today exclusively on HBX.
