Top Dawg Entertainment rapper ScHoolboy Q has officially revealed his upcoming studio album, THank Que. The Los Angeles MC announced the project and release timeline during a live performance celebrating the 10th anniversary of his seminal Blank Face LP.
Taking the mic during the closing moments of the show, Q addressed long-standing chatter about his musical future and emphatically dismissed any rumors that he plans to step away from recording. “New album called THank Que coming out next year,” Q told the crowd. “I promise you that. 10-year anniversary, and I’mma be around for the 20th too. I promise that. I will never retire.”
The announcement follows the rapper’s sixth studio LP, BLUE LIPS, which arrived in March 2024 led by the single “Yeern 101.” That record ended a five-year gap between albums following 2019’s CrasH Talk, an extended hiatus that previously led fans to speculate whether the veteran artist was eyeing retirement. With THank Que, Q reaffirms his longevity in hip-hop as he continues his milestone tour across the country.
THank Que is scheduled to release in 2027. Stay tuned.
