Danner and MIYAGIHIDETAKA Announce First Collaboration
Creating an all-black Western boot
Portland-based heritage brand Danner and fashion label MIYAGIHIDETAKA have teamed up for their first collaboration. The model incorporates Western elements into Danner’s work boots, which the designer has worn for years.
The inspiration for this collaboration came from the designer’s trip to Nevada, where they saw locals wearing Western-embroidered work boots paired with Vibram soles. This encounter led to the offer to Danner.
Based on a classic Danner model, this release is rendered entirely in black, from the upper to the individual components. Crafted from soft suede, it features Western-style embroidery in matching black on the sides and toe.
It also comes with a removable zip attachment, allowing it to be worn two ways: zipped or laced normally. Produced in Japan, the sole is equipped with Vibram® MEGAGRIP for exceptional traction.
The Danner x MIYAGIHIDETAKA collaboration will be available starting Saturday, October 10 at the MIYAGIHIDETAKA Daikanyama store and select retailers nationwide. The price is 69,300 yen (including tax).
