A$AP Rocky’s AWGE returns to the runway, this time with a surprise. Leading up to his sold-out show at the Accor Arena in Paris for his Don’t Be Dumb World Tour, the multi-hyphenate artist granted ticket holders access to the runway debut of AWGE’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection during Paris Fashion Week, taking place at the same arena he moshed in just hours later.
Following its founding in 2014, originally as a creative agency directed by Rocky, AWGE has transitioned into full runway fashion collections, with its official debut show, “American Sabotage,” in Paris in June of 2024. Then returning in 2025 with “Obligatory Fashion” for SS26, the brand blends conceptual streetwear, anti-establishment satire, Rocky’s Harlem roots, and his personal wardrobe — the new lineup is no different.
Titled “ANTI WAR GLOBAL ECONOMICS”, the newest collection, built as an open-ended manifesto, included layered tactical vests and trench coats, an asymmetrical bomber jacket-inspired skirt, AWGE ammo boxes and flight caps, shiny leather belt bags, bespoke printed denim sets, and a deep red gas mask long coat.
“ANTI WAR GLOBAL ECONOMICS” reworks military imagery with looks designed for both the runway and concert stage. The collection also included gold-embroidered military marching band jackets, bold graphic veils inspired by medieval chainmail, and wraparound plaid skirts and triple-stacked boxers showing above waistbands. Padded, tactical vests were built into poplin shirts, and chemical-protective-inspired touches recur throughout, with glossy leather capes and oil-dipped headwear, as Louboutins and army boots walked the arena’s floors. Continuing his partnerships, Rocky debuted new Straycat sneakers and a navy Puma Suede that are set for release later this year. As Ray-Ban’s Creative Director, he also unveiled new lightweight aviator frames with reflective lenses and colored frames with elastic bands.
Part protest, part party, the collection captures everything AWGE and A$AP Rocky does best: subverting symbols of power and making the arena itself feel like a runway. Rocky continues to build a creative empire that moves seamlessly between fashion, music, and design — indicating that the label’s satirical, genre-blurring vision is only getting sharper. There are very few artists who can sell out an arena and debut a runway collection in the same day, and even fewer can make both feel this cohesive, proving yet again that A$AP Rocky’s taste and worldbuilding abilities are untouchable.
