Sony Pictures has officially locked in release dates for 24 Jump Street and Ridley Scott’s Treasure Island, anchoring a major 2027–2028 theatrical slate update. The announcements set key holiday release windows for the studio’s marquee comedy and adventure productions.
Scheduled to hit theaters on December 10, 2027, 24 Jump Street brings back stars Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, and Ice Cube. Directed by Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), who penned the script alongside Hill and Meghan Malloy, the comedy sequel is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Tatum, and Hill. Meanwhile, Ridley Scott’s adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island takes over the November 11, 2027 slot. Adapted by Jack Thorne, the film stars Hugh Jackman as Long John Silver alongside Hugh Grant and Owen Cooper.
In addition to its flagship late-2027 tentpoles, Sony dated the Michelle Yeoh action thriller The Surgeon for April 2, 2027, and the drama Narcs for August 20, 2027. Future calendar shifts include Bad Robot’s Grandgear, directed by Takashi Yamazaki, moving to January 14, 2028, and Justin Lin’s PlayStation video game adaptation Helldivers starring Alan Ritchson shifting to June 9, 2028.
