The Nike Air Force 1 Low GORE-TEX “Baroque Brown” takes one of Nike‘s most familiar silhouettes and reworks it for colder, wetter days. Set for a 2026 release, the shoe layers weatherproofing and a grippier outsole onto the standard AF1, turning an all-year staple into a purpose-built winter option.

The upper is where the seasonal intent shows first. Most of it is finished in Baroque Brown leather, with black Swooshes, heel tabs, lining, and midsole cutting through the tone. GORE-TEX is built into the leather for weather protection, and the product images show the material beading water rather than soaking it in. Brown rope laces and a thicker tongue reinforce the winter-ready feel, while small yellow GORE-TEX tags near the collar provide one of the only bright accents on an otherwise muted build.

A metal lace dubrae carries another GORE-TEX callout, and Nike Air branding is embossed into the black heel tabs, keeping the back of the shoe clean without introducing extra color. It is a restrained execution that leans on texture and hardware rather than loud graphics to signal the technical upgrade.

Underfoot is the clearest departure from a standard Air Force 1. Nike drops the usual outsole in favor of a Vibram unit with a more aggressive traction pattern, aimed at the same slick, cold conditions the upper is built for. Black rubber wraps the outer edges while University Red fills most of the center, and yellow Vibram branding at the midfoot and lateral heel ties back to the GORE-TEX tag up top.

Taken together, the changes reframe the AF1 as more than a seasonal colorway. By pairing a waterproof membrane with a purpose-built Vibram sole, Nike positions the “Baroque Brown” pair as a genuine all-weather version of a shoe that usually trades on year-round wearability, giving the silhouette a functional reason to exist in the depths of winter.
