Summary

  • THE SIN : BLISS debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, handing ENHYPEN its first career chart-topper after peaking at No. 2 twice before
  • The EP opened with 98,000 equivalent album units, 92,000 of them from pure sales driven by more than 30 collectible CD and vinyl editions
  • Dolly Parton returns to the top 10 the same week, as Ultimate Dolly Parton reenters at No. 5 in the wake of her death on August 25

ENHYPEN claims its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as THE SIN : BLISS debuts atop the chart dated September 5, earning 98,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the tracking week ending August 27, according to Luminate. The set is the group’s seventh top 10 entry, all of them notched since 2022, and it finally clears a ceiling the act had run into twice.

That ceiling had held at No. 2, first with THE SIN : VANISH in January and again with ROMANCE : UNTOLD in 2024. This time the group converts a near-miss into a coronation, becoming the latest K-pop act to command the top of the American albums chart.

The win was built almost entirely on physical demand. Of the week’s 98,000 units, album sales accounted for 92,000, enough to open THE SIN : BLISS at No. 1 on Top Album Sales as well. Streaming equivalent album units contributed 6,000, translating to 6.91 million on-demand official streams of the EP’s songs, while track equivalent albums added a negligible amount. Powering the sales total was a deep menu of more than 30 CD and vinyl variants, each packed with collectibles such as photocards, stickers and posters, some of them randomized to reward repeat buyers.

Three former leaders line up in ENHYPEN’s wake. Ella Langley’s Dandelion rises 5-2 with 70,000 units, dipping less than one percent, while Olivia Rodrigo‘s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love climbs 4-3 with 67,000, down four percent. Morgan Wallen‘s I’m the Problem moves 6-4 with 63,000, off six percent.

The week’s most poignant entry sits at No. 5, where Dolly Parton‘s Ultimate Dolly Parton reenters the chart with 59,000 units, largely on the strength of streaming. It marks the late icon’s fourth top 10 album and her second-highest-charted set ever. Parton died August 25 at age 80 following a short battle with cancer, and the tracking week reflects fewer than three days of impact after the news. Her previous top 10 visits came with the all-star Rockstar (No. 3 in 2023, her highest placement), Blue Smoke (No. 6 in 2014) and Trio (No. 6 in 1987, alongside Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris). Released in 2003, the 20-track compilation had originally peaked at No. 112 in 2019 and had been absent from the chart since 2020. It gathers signatures such as “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” “Here You Come Again,” “9 to 5” and “Islands In the Stream” with Kenny Rogers, and it stood as Parton’s best-selling album of the week at 7,000 copies.

Former No. 1s fill out the rest of the tier. KATSEYE‘s WILD tumbles 1-6 in its second week with 55,000 units, down 68 percent, and Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide holds at No. 7 with 54,000, off four percent. Stray KidsTHIS & THAT slides 3-8 with 48,000, down 42 percent, Drake‘s ICEMAN stays put at No. 9 with 41,000, off six percent, and Ariana Grande‘s petal dips 8-10 with 41,000, down 20 percent.
