Seiko will bring its Passionately and Obsessively Crafted Watches exhibition to Japan House in London. This marks the third consecutive year the brand has showcased its Power Design Project outside Japan, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the creative process behind one of the world’s most respected watchmakers. The exhibition highlights Seiko’s philosophy of innovation and craftsmanship, while celebrating Japanese culture in a global setting.

The exhibition highlights seven conceptual timepieces, each expressing a different designer’s hyper-fixation on specific physical elements. Takuya Matsumoto’s “Dial Texture” uses high-precision metal stamping – controlled to within one-hundredth of a millimeter – to render intricate geometric patterns inspired by Spain’s Alhambra Palace.

Naoya Sukeda’s “Machining Marks” draws inspiration from fine woodworking, deliberately leaving visible tool marks and file textures on a stepped steel case to celebrate the artisan’s hand. Meanwhile, Design Director Miho Wada’s “Bar Indices” transforms standard hour markers into a hypnotic grid across a rectangular face, creating a dense mosaic where polished beams harmonize light.

Rounding out the lineup are concepts that redefine watch geometry and typography. Yu Ishihara’s “Spherical Surface” seamlessly aligns the curvature of the glass, bezel, case and crown guard into a single continuous sphere. Free to the public, the exhibition will officially unveil at Japan House on August 27 and will remain on view until September 15, 2026.
