For Its Next Social Venture, Best Nights VC Heads to the Mountains

Over the past few years, Best Nights VC has been on a mission to revive IRL entertainment. Having focused its efforts on the nightlife industry through supporting ventures across ticketing, discovery and new social formats, enabling 50 million nights to be hosted a year, it’s now turning to the sports sector with its investment in The Snow League.

Founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, the league brings together top-performing athletes in a series of head-to-head halfpipe competitions across the world. An occasion for the fans just as much as the participants, the mountainside events are often rounded off with live performances – turning The Snow League into a full-scale festival.

“This isn’t just a competition, it’s about creating a world around it,” White tells Hypebeast. “Music, art, and the personalities of the riders have always been part of snowboarding and freeskiing, and now it’s finally being showcased the right way. To me, it’s really important to give our athletes the stage they deserve, along with better pay, better formats, and a platform that lets fans connect with who they are.”

For Best Nights VC, the partnership makes sense. With many looking for more memorable experiences beyond one-off events, there has also been a noticeable shift in how people spend their free time, turning to social sports as well as high-budget vacations.
