  • Credor debuts at Watches & Wonders 2026 with three artisanal novelties
  • The lineup includes the Goldfeather Urushi Lacquer Dial, Goldfeather Tourbillon Engraved and Locomotive model starring a hexagonal “Dawn Blue” dial

Ahead of Watches & Wonders 2026, Credor has unveiled three exquisite novelties that will be on view at the fair later this month. This edition also marks the brand’s first time participating at the annual watch event, with the newest timekeeping creations thoroughly embody its brand philosophy of “The Creativity of Artisans.” The resulting lineup showcases Credor’s profound mastery of traditional crafts – from rare blue urushi lacquer to intricate three-dimensional engraving – all while pushing the boundaries of horology.

Goldfeather Urushi Lacquer Dial Limited Edition: GBBY967

This new addition to the Goldfeather series captures an aesthetic of quiet refinement, favoring the depth found in silence over ostentatious display. Its dial arrives in a rare deep blue gradient – a color seldom seen in traditional urushi lacquer – that shifts from a midnight black at the perimeter to a rich blue at the center. To achieve this lustrous finish, artisans engage in a grueling cycle of lacquering and polishing with whetstones, concluding with a final finish applied by the artisan’s own fingers. The gentle curve of the dial demands an exceptional level of skill to ensure the polishing remains uniform across its contoured surface.

The watch further distinguishes itself through the use of taka maki-e, a traditional raised lacquer technique. While gold or silver is typical, this model employs platinum powder to build up the indexes and branding, resulting in a soft, three-dimensional glow. These platinum surfaces are meticulously polished using metal spatulas and a tool crafted from a sea bream tooth. Beneath this artistic dial lies the manual-winding Caliber 6890, an ultra-thin movement measuring just 1.98mm thick. Encased in Platinum 950 with a slim 8.1mm profile, this limited edition of 25 pieces will be available in June 2026 for $47,000 USD.

Goldfeather Tourbillon Engraved Limited Edition: GBCF997

Celebrating three decades of engraving mastery, this tourbillon model showcases a “feather-like” texture that radiates across its dial with airy elegance. The intricate pattern is the result of a meticulous grinding technique that diffuses light with a satin-softness across two separate layered sections. The dial’s periphery is punctuated by Roman numerals executed in ultra-fine linear engraving, while the minute track utilizes nanako engraving — a traditional Japanese method of creating a series of tiny, sparkling dots with a specialized chisel.

The artistry extends to the movement, where the tourbillon Caliber 6850 serves as a canvas for bold, linear engravings that radiate outward from the carriage. These lines must be perfectly aligned across four separate components, requiring multiple passes with absolute consistency in blade angle and depth. Visual motion is added through the arashi pattern — scattered dots engraved with a hexagonal tip to provide a unique texture. Despite the complexity of the tourbillon and its 60-hour power reserve, the Platinum 950 case maintains a streamlined silhouette of just 8.6mm. Limited to 25 pieces, this masterpiece will be released in August 2026 with a retail price of $215,000 USD.

Locomotive: GCCR995

Inspired by Gérald Genta’s original 1970s design, the new Locomotive continues Credor’s dialogue with modernity. The name itself serves as a metaphor for a “driving force,” symbolizing the friendship between Genta and Seiko and their shared vision for the future. This latest iteration features a “dawn blue” dial inspired by train signal lights, decorated with an intricate geometric pattern of hexagons. Each hexagon contains striped patterns that alternate directions, causing the dial to shimmer and shift color as it catches the light.

True to its industrial-chic heritage, the hexagonal motif is mirrored in the case, bezel, crown and even the screws. The watch is crafted from high-intensity titanium, making it 30% lighter and more scratch-resistant than stainless steel, while offering a blend of hand-brushed and mirror finishes. It’s powered by the Caliber CR01, which was developed exclusively for Credor to maintain the watch’s elegant, slim proportions. With a diameter of 38.8mm and water resistance to 10 ATM, the Locomotive balances robust durability with sophisticated design. Retailing for $13,200 USD, head over to Credor’s official website for details and availablity regarding its newest wristwatches.
