The Inspiration One Souscription marks the debut of independent Swiss brand CLEGUER, founded by watchmaking engineer Mathieu Cleguer. Conceived as the inaugural model of the Inspiration Collection, the watch introduces a proprietary “innate escapement,” a reinterpretation of the natural escapement that solves its traditional non-self-starting limitation while preserving tangential impulse. This innovation is showcased through an architectural movement design that emphasizes depth, layering, and selective visibility, with highlights including a large 12.9mm balance wheel, dual escape wheels, and a regulated 36-hour power reserve displayed on the dial side.
The Inspiration One Souscription is housed in a 38.5mm titanium case and features a decentred champlevé Grand Feu enamel subdial, crafted by Blandenier, which adds artisanal refinement to the technical architecture. Nickel silver bridges and mainplate are finished with champagne and rhodium plating, while the Maltese Cross stopwork integrated into the ratchet-click system enhances precision. The design philosophy balances mechanical clarity with intrigue, revealing essential components such as the escapement and balance while leaving other mechanisms partially concealed, creating a sculptural sense of depth.
Limited to just 12 titanium pieces, all allocated through a subscription model that funded the prototype, the Inspiration One Souscription has already sold out ahead of deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2026. Future small-batch production will expand into additional case metals, with total output capped at 80 watches. While the initial titanium Souscription model is priced at 56,000 CHF (approx. $69,981 USD), future iterations in precious metals will retail for 95,300 CHF (approx. $119,093 USD).
