UNDERCOVER has tapped Japanese footwear label grounds for a collaborative iteration of the JEWELRY sneaker. Merging grounds’ distinct architectural language with Jun Takahashi’s punk-inflected typography, the collaboration delivers a silhouette that balances avant-garde structuralism with wearable comfort.
Debuting during UNDERCOVER’s Pre-Spring 2026 presentation, the sneaker is anchored by grounds’ signature JEWELRY outsole. The design features a series of transparent, gem-like spheres serving as the sole unit, engineered to create a floating sensation for the wearer. For this capsule, the technical tooling is paired with a flexible knit upper, offering a streamlined contrast to the bulbous, sculptural platform below.
Visual branding is assertive yet minimal, adhering to the stark aesthetic distinct to Takahashi’s work. The words “CHAOS” and “BALANCE” – a recurring mantra for the UNDERCOVER imprint – are emblazoned across the vamps, while additional logo detailing on the heel solidifies the partnership.
