The seventh time’s the charm for Stone Island and PORTER…
Even after five years apart, the pair’s collaborative capabilities have not aged a day. Stone Island and PORTER are getting back together to celebrate a landmark moment in YOSHIDA & Co.’s unwavering legacy: 90 years in business.
This go around, the duo is expanding on its typical delivery of just bags, intermixing apparel items in with the six-piece special-edition drop. Presented as part of Stone Island’s latest “Community as a Form of Research” visual campaign, the new range is fronted by none other than fellow pioneer in his field, A.G. Cook.
Captured through the lens of David Sims, the British musician and electronic producer dons the drop’s short parka jacket on top, and cargo pants on the bottom; the parka is discreetly padded with two layers, with the first attached to the outer shell, and the second quilted into an internal multi-axial pattern. The capsule’s bags include a backpack, a helmet bag, a cross-body bag, and a pouch.
Apparel and accessories alike come crafted in Japan nylon twill, and are defined by the brand’s gradient Corrosion Treatment – a key pillar of the brands FW25 collection – achieved through a manual spraying technique to make each piece one-of-one.
