'Pokémon TCG: Black Bolt' & 'White Flare' Features Over 150 Illustration Rare Cards
Highlighting Pokémon originally found in the Unova region, including the addition of special monochromatic foil cards.
Excitement surrounding the Pokémon TCG continues to surge as new expansions to its Scarlet and Violet era touch on everything from the beloved Eevee line to Team Rocket. Adding to the frenzy, the game has just launched its latest sets, a combination of Black Bolt and White Flare.
Shortly after dropping, The Pokémon Company shared a complete preview of what to expect from the two new sets, including over 150 new illustration rare cards. Pictured first is the Black Bolt range, which, like its White Flare counterpart, focuses solely on Pokémon originally found in the Unova region. Highlighting the first range is two new monochromatic foil cards that depict Victini in red and Zekrom in black. The same treatment is applied to a white Reshiram card for White Flare, which sees the red Victini card present as well. This special homage to the Pokémon Black and White era that began in 2010 also nods to familiar trainers from Unova.
Pokémon TCG: Black Bolt & White Flare has just arrived via the Pokémon Center, select retailers, and local card shops with packs available via thematic boxes and bundles.
