At this year’s Watches & Wonders Geneva, TAG Heuer celebrates its rich heritage of precision and innovation with a lineup that’s enriched by its ties to motor racing. In popular demand, the Maison brings back its OG Formula 1 watch in the new Solargraph collection. As the Maison continues its role as F1’s Official Timekeeper, the latest unveiling highlights the retro-coded Formula 1 Solargraph collection and the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph F1, which features a striking white and red color palette. Additionally, the brand also readies two new Carrera models – the Day-Date and Twin-Time – accompanied by the revival of the iconic beads-of-rice bracelet for the Carrera Chronograph series.

Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph F1

TAG Heuer continues to celebrate its return as the Official Timekeeper of Formula 1 with a new exclusive creation: the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph F1.  With this timepiece, the Maison revives the historic Rattrapante complication, linking the watch to milestones such as the 1916 Mikrosplit stopwatch and its groundbreaking contributions to motorsport timekeeping. At its heart lies the automatic split-seconds chronograph TH81-00 movement, renowned for its complexity and ability to measure two separate time intervals simultaneously. The meticulously crafted caliber showcases Swiss craftsmanship through hand-finished bevels, polished screws, complete with a TAG Heuer shield-shaped oscillating weight adorned with racing-inspired details.

Blending performance and bold design, the watch draws inspiration from the dynamic energy of Formula 1. Its sleek white ceramic case, engineered without an inner metallic container, demonstrates remarkable technical ingenuity and hand-finished refinement. The red-tinted translucent dial, paired with asphalt-like counters and iconic starting grid markings, reflects the adrenaline of race day. Signature elements, including the phrase “LIGHTS OUT & AWAY WE GO” and a discreet F1 logo at 6 o’clock, further connect the timepiece to motorsport’s spirit.  This limited-edition watch is available in a run of 10 numbered pieces only, retailing for 155,000 CHF (around $175,635 USD).

Formula 1 Solargraph

Paying homage to its 1980s origins while embracing modern enhancements, TAG Heuer presents 9 dynamic new references for its Formula 1 collection. Designed for racing enthusiasts and watch collectors alike, this lineup features a refined 38mm case size, upgraded finishes such as sandblasted steel and DLC treatment, and ergonomic improvements for superior comfort. With cutting-edge Solargraph movement and versatile design elements, the collection blends the heritage of TAG Heuer’s partnership with Formula 1, reaffirming its place in the realm of racing-inspired luxury timepieces.

Three of the models form the core collection, offering classic yet bold colorways such as black and white dial, deep blue and a vibrant red, each paired with steel bracelets. The remaining six models, presented as limited editions, showcase striking color combinations, including black with red, black with yellow and green with red, among others. These timepieces retain hallmark design elements like the distinctive décroché for an elegant touch, while Super-LumiNova treated indices ensure clear legibility in dark conditions. Each watch is versatile, with options for a rubber racing strap, an embossed rubber strap, or a redesigned steel bracelet for exceptional refinement and comfort, all priced at 1,750 CHF (approximately $1,994 USD).

Carrera Day-Date & Carrera Date Twin-Time

The TAG Heuer Carrera Day-Date collection has been designed with a focus on versatility and individuality, offering 6 distinct models that cater to a variety of preferences and occasions. Priced between 3,900 – 8,250 CHF (approximately $4,419 – $9,348 USD), the lineup showcases a refined balance of bold aesthetics, practical functionality and timeless elegance that aligns with the iconic Carrera design language.

The collection’s dials highlight the individuality of each model, offering a variety of finishes that define their character. The blue sunray-brushed dial conveys classic sophistication, while the smokey red opaline dial provides a contemporary edge. For those seeking subtle refinement, the black opaline dial comes in steel or steel-and-18k rose gold configurations, offering understated luxury. Meanwhile, the black-grained dial adds dynamic appeal with red lacquered accents and blue details for a sporty aesthetic. Elevated by meticulously crafted rhodium-plated or 18k rose gold hands and indexes, these designs reflect TAG Heuer’s dedication to precision and craftsmanship.

A standout in the collection is the TAG Heuer Carrera Date Twin-Time, which draws inspiration from motorsport’s golden era with its teal sunray-brushed dial and two-tone teal and silver flange. The red-tipped GMT hand – a nod to the brand’s heritage and precision craftsmanship – complements the rhodium-plated Arabic numerals, combining aesthetic appeal with functional dual-time capability.

The Beads-of-Rice Bracelet

In a tribute to its 1960s heritage, TAG Heuer has revived its beads-of-rice bracelet, reintroducing this timeless design into the Carrera collection. Celebrated for its seamless blend of refinement and comfort, the bracelet was a collector’s favorite in its original era and now makes a contemporary return, preserving its classic charm.

Designed exclusively for the Carrera Chronograph, the beads-of-rice bracelet features a single-row configuration that merges vintage appeal with modern craftsmanship. Alternating rows of flat outer links and rounded central links, reminiscent of grains of rice, deliver a smooth and ergonomic feel on the wrist, ensuring enhanced articulation and superior comfort. Available on four Carrera Chronograph models in the glassbox segment, the bracelet complements the timeless black and blue editions from 2023, along with the newly launched 2024 Panda and Teal Green Dato models, adding versatility and sophistication to the lineup.
