Glass Animals Unveils 'I Love You So F***ing Much' LP

A 10-track delivery that explores existential qualms and galaxies far away.

Glass Animals has gone out of this world for its fourth studio album. Arriving roughly four years after Dreamland – the predecessor project that frontman Dave Bayley says catalyzed “the existential crisis” that inspired its follow-up – I Love You So F***ing Much finds the group traversing galaxies far, far away while touching on the close-to-home existential questions that plague us every day.

“I’d tried to make a space record before but it came out too cold. It didn’t feel human or relatable enough,” Bayley told Apple Music of the spacey, sans-features offering – a brunt of which was created during the pandemic.

“Being in that house literally put it in perspective. I looked out and saw all these people walking around, the families and people in the gas stations having an argument. You see these human relationships and how complex and important they are and you realize how powerful those human interactions we have are. Those relationships and those feelings are much bigger than everything else. The little things right in front of you are actually more important.”

It’s these exact themes that transcend across all 10 tracks – especially pre-release singles “A Tear In Space (Airlock)” and “Creatures in Heaven” – as well as the visuals, including the now-out “Show Pony” visualizer.

I Love You So F***ing Much arrives ahead of the group’s Tour of Earth, which kicks off in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 7 and sees support from Eyedress, Kevin Abstract, Blondshell and The Big Moon.
