Fumito Ganryu Channels “Uniform of Unique Form” in SS25 Collection

Returning from Spring/Summer 2025 with a new lookbook, Japanese label Fumito Ganryu’s new collection explores sartorial expression through a uniform aesthetic.
Aptly named “Uniform of Unique Form,” the collection subverts and reforms the traditional concept of uniforms. Instead of forcing one to conform to specific sartorial and societal codes, the garments ensure the wearer fits into these specific occasions and environments, all without taking away their individuality.
Per usual, the collection is split between the main and red labels, offering comparably different takes on this season’s theme. In the main label, the range takes on more of a formal outlook spanning classic shirting, tapered outerwear and dress pants. Meanwhile, the red label promotes a more casual vibe with its plethora of graphic tees, scrunched-up pants, denim jackets and unconventional hoodies.
Despite being separate lines, pieces from both labels can be styled together as shown in the lookbook above.
