RMR Reimagines Drake's "Laugh Now Cry Later" for "That Was Therapeutic"
Amber Rose makes a special appearance in the music video.
RMR has dropped off the second installment of his 4th Quarter Medley project, “That Was Therapeutic.”
Produced by Do Betters, the new release is a rework of Drake‘s latest lead single “Laugh Now Cry Later,” slowing down the beat’s main riff and transforming it to an emotional piano structure. RMR introspectively sings over the keys and reflects on being grateful for what he’s got, but also questions his so-called friends who were nowhere to be found when he needed help.
The visual, directed by Pressure once again, also includes the symbolic gesture of RMR removing his mask and handing it over to Amber Rose, who seems to be his therapist in the music video. She observes the mask and looks at him in understanding, and hands it back to him without the camera showing his face. The visual ends with RMR walking into a recording booth and singing a line of his “Iris” rendition, hinting that this could be the third and final part his 4th Quarter Medley project.
