Sonos Radio HD Offers Exclusive Content Curated by Music Legends Like Dolly Parton
Every station is hand-crafted by top DJs, beloved artists and other music experts — no algorithms.
After launching its 24-hour streaming service Sonos Radio back in April, Sonos has debuted a premium, ad-free tier with Sonos Radio HD. This new offering will deliver genre stations, sounds for sleep and relaxation and more in-depth artist content. All stations will be hand-curated — no algorithms — and all will stream in the highest quality sound of any radio streaming service: lossless, CD-quality audio.
With its exclusive, original content with favorite artists, Sonos Radio HD introduces listeners to new musical terrain through a trusted guide. The service will kick off its artist-curated stations with Dolly Parton’s Songteller Radio, which will host the beloved artist’s favorite hits from other artists and her catalogue as well as exclusive commentary on songs and moments over the course of her career. Genre-specific stations and deep-dives into regional music scenes — like British Beats and Bars, The Netherlands’ Radio à Gogo, and German Zeitgeist — are hosted and curated with help from local experts. A weekly Radio Hour focusing on artists’ inspiration, Sonos Sound System, will feature A$AP Ferg, Erykah Badu and more on its line-up of upcoming guests.
There are also stations curated with relaxation and focus in mind. Sonos Radio HD offers stations for productivity and as well as six sleep stations which are attuned to a variety of preferences, from white noise to rainforest sounds, and play without loops or interruption.
Sonos Radio HD is available now in the US and UK via Sonos’ S2 app with subscription a of $7.99 USD per month after a free one-month trial.
