Lionsgate is officially bringing back one of the most stressful cinematic experiences of recent years, releasing the official trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, Fall 2: Deadpoint. Following the massive success of the 2022 original that left audiences gripping their seats, the new survival thriller shifts the high-wire danger to a completely new, unpredictable environment while maintaining its signature sense of vertigo-inducing dread.
Swapping the claustrophobic 2,000-foot radio tower for an entirely different set of extremes, the upcoming feature transports viewers to the side of a mountain in Thailand. The narrative follows two friends who attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan to heal from a personal tragedy. However, a sudden rockslide leaves them hopelessly stranded 5,000 feet above the ground on a fragile wooden platform, forcing them into a desperate fight against the elements and their own deepest fears.
Stepping into the director’s chair this time around are Michael and Peter Spierig, who take over from original director Scott Mann. The newly released footage is packed with stomach-churning shots of impossible heights, narrow ledges, and situations destined to go horribly wrong. Starring Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas, and Tom Brittney, the film looks poised to amplify the heart-pounding tension that made the first installment a surprise smash hit, offering a visceral experience for thrill-seekers.
